Bournville ice cream lolly.
I was hot tired and in need of an ice cream. I went into a newsagent on my way home from work last night and looked at their small selection of ice creams. Nestle nestle nestle I did not want to buy a nestle product, and then I recognised the red foil packaging of Cadbury Bourneville. I have never had this ice cream before so I decided this was the one. I paid the shop assistant £1.00p quite expensive I thought.
Outside the shop I opened the plastic foil wrapper and exposed the ice-lolly, it is really a choc-ice on a stick. The ice cream is lozenge shaped with rounded edges. I take my first bite and get the lovely Bourneville chocolate and a little vanilla ice cream yumm another bite and some of the chocolate covering breaks and falls onto the pavement, boohoo I carefully eat the rest saving other pieces of chocolate from falling on the floor. I managed o eat this ice cream before it melted in the hot afternoon sun.
I must admit that although this choc ice lolly was ok it was not special not as good as I hoped. The ice cream not very creamy and although the choc was a plain bourneville the covering was fragile and not really quite enough to satisfy my needs.
The covering was probably not any thinner than other similar choc ice lollys but somehow was not quite what I wanted it was ok but thats all. I shall buy something different if the urge for a choc-ice lolly overcomes me again.
Summary: not as satisfying as I needed

- 12/07/05 I reckon they should just cut the shenanagins and sell it as a choc ice, all the stick does is ensure you drop the last delicious pieces!
Cheers
