Advantages: Taste Goooood!!!!
Disadvantages: High fat/sugar content
I am always trying to find snacks for my kids which are cheap, tasty and of a more healthy variety than your general chocolate bars or sweets and finally Cadburys have cracked it!!!
Cadburys brunch bars are available in a variety of flavours - raisin, chocolate chip, cranberry and orange and hazelnut. Each box contains 6 individual bars each of which are contained within a sealed wrapper for maximum freshness.
Although they would still not be classed as healthy they are a much better alternative to sugary snacks that children usually go for without compromising on taste.
The chocolate chip version contains oats, bran flakes, crispies and milk chocolate chips which are held together by honey with this mixture lieing in a bed of cadburys milk chocolate. Delicious!!!!!!
Each individual bar is 35g of tastiness and they each have at least 6 months worth of sell by date on them so a box can last a while - thoug not in my house!!!
Each bar contains 155 calories, 13.2g sugar, 6.5g fat, 3.3g saturates and 0.1g salt. So salt content is low as are the calories for a chocolate bar but I am still rather disappointed in the sugar and fat contents of this bar - most of which is probably caused by the honey binding the nuts and oats together.
All in all I would still recommend this product for a great snack between meals. At £1.09 a box from B&M bargains (some larger chains may charge more) I believe you are getting a steal.
A great tasting, sweet, cheap version of a normal chocolate bar. A real winner in our household!!
Summary: A must try snack
