Iceland cake shelves are a nuisance for me, everything is just so tempting, especially when the majority of cakes cost just £1. If they were £2 mind I wouldn't be interested but just £1, how on earth can I resist! Well I definitely couldn't resist when I spotted Cadbury Cake Bars Caramel for just £1. We're all familiar with Cadbury they produce some delectable products, so I was sure these would live up to those high standards. I picked the deep purple and golden yellow pack of 5 individually wrapped cake bars and headed off home ready to indulge! On the back of the packet it says 'Enjoy these delicious caramel cake bars smothered in cadbury milk ... Read the complete review

I picked these up recently at my local corner shop. They were in a "family size" box of 10. Packaging: The 10 cake bars are invidually wrapped in a predominantly purple wrapper which keeps them isolated from the air once the wrapper covering the main carton has been opened. The cake bars are laid in the carton which has part of the top missing & is wrapped with a plastic covering. Again this is predominantly purple, with parts of white & yellow. Towards the right hand side it reads "10 cakes Family Pack". The back of the pack lists the Customer Care details, the ingredients & the nutritional information. ... Read the complete review

'm not usually a big fan of sponge cakes because I find them quite dry and bland, but these are an exception for me (along with French Fancies, yum!) Cadbury is obviously a very popular and respectable brand, so you'd expect their products to be quality and made from much knowledge and experience. Their cake bar range has expanded a bit recently with a few special edition varieties, but this review is for the caramel cake bars, which have been around for years now. Despite that, I find that they can be difficult to come across for some strange reason, as my local Tesco doesn't sell them and neither does my nearest Morrisons. Anywho, they're found in the cakes ... Read the complete review

These are a brilliant packet of cakes. They have the usual quality that we have come to expect from Cadbury, combined with a fantastic taste and superb flavour, pretty much everyone will love them. However, they are quite small, have a large sugar content and not very filling. The packaging is basic, with a nice design but follows the usual branding making it easy to recognise on the shelf. The text is also bright and crisp, making it easy to read. The packets can be opened easily, and the product is always fresh. However, the plastic is quite thin so the cakes can sometimes be squashed which is rather annoying and messy. The big image on the front will ... Read the complete review

Cadbury Caramel Cake Bites (21 pieces) The product I wasn't to review is Cadbury Caramel Cake Bites which comes in a plastic container; but when I suggested it, dooyoo chose to include it with Cadbury Caramel Cake Bars. Despite the different packaging and name, it is eventually the same product. I bought the violet container in which there were 21 bite-sized treats for £2.28 from Tesco, which can be considered good value for money for the size of the pieces is very satisfactory and they come in a big container. However, although the tub and lid are both recyclable, I think I prefer my treats to come in simple plastic bags; the packaging with this ... Read the complete review
