Advantages: yummy and pretty cheap

Disadvantages: calorie counting

This luxurious chocolate bar used to be called caramel until Cadbury’s decided to have a change. Being one of my favourite chocolate bars in the world, I decided to write an indulgent review on it and tuck into this yummy chocolate bar sitting before me as well. This purple shiny wrapped foil fresh chocolate is calling my name already and all I want to do is rip it open and tuck into it.

The packaging

The package of this wonderful treat is a shiny purple wrapper, with a yellow flowing river on the bottom half of the wrapper. In the middle, it has a box with dairy milk caramel written I nit, and a logo to the side of the wrapper with Cadbury upon it. In the corner, there is a small box saying happiness express, over 15 million experiences to be won. Oh damn it, an even better reason to buy this chocolate, a competition with 15 million chances. On the back of this packet, there is nutritional information, and terms and conditions of the competition. Must be sure to open this carefully as there is a code on the inside to enter…must enter it later on.

The chocolate

Opening the packaging, I can see six rectangular brown pieces of chocolate staring down at me. All joined together at the bottom by a thin piece of chocolate. Breaking this chocolate open, I can see golden rich sugary caramel trickling out. The chocolate as I can see melts really easily in my hand which is a bit of a downside to this, but either way it’s still lovely chocolate. Putting it upon my tongue, it starts to melt easily, and it isn’t hard to chew, doesn’t get stuck in my teeth and is easily consumed. It has a sweet rich chocolaty taste, with a sweet toffee like filling, tasting sweeter than the rainbow. I can’t help but stop myself from digging into another piece very naughtily, this is going to make me fat if I carry on going. I can finally see the code and make a mental note to enter it later. I am left with a sweet tasting after taste in my mouth up to ten minutes after eating this.

Prices and availability:
50g and 200g bars are available most places, shops, supermarkets, book shops, cafes, petrol stations, and almost anywhere else in the UK. The 50g bars average around 42p-52p, and the 200g average around £1.20-£1.40 although these 200g bars seem to be on offer a lot on buy one get one free offers or buy two for a certain amount. This is when my choice binges get out of hand.

NOTE: chocolate is very fattening and should not be consumed too regularly due to weight problems and are not part of a healthy diet. A snack of chocolate once in a while is fine, but consumed too often can cause problems. I’d better go and by another chocolate bar then……have fun and enjoy chocolate…sometimes it’s the only thing in life you can rely on to get you through the day.

P.S I’m afraid I never did win anything which was a shame, just like the other two bars I brought the other week. Shame.

Thank you for reading
