Advantages: Lovely Cadbury's choccy and caramel filling.
Disadvantages: Not a lot!
I'm a choccy addict me, so I am. Well, maybe not an addict, but hardly a day goes past when I don't consume chocolate in one form or another. Biccys, bars, sweets, you name it. Doesn't really matter to me the shape or form it comes in, down the hatch it goes.
I'm really fortunate that I seem to have the sort of metabolism that means I don't end up getting portly (fat) no matter how much chocolate, sugar or sweets I eat. Although I *HAVE* put on about a stone and a half in the last couple of years. I'm now 13 ½ stones, but at 5'10" I seem to be able to carry it OK.
This means that I can fully indulge my passion for chocolate without having to worry too much about the consequences, and one of my particular favourites has always been Cadbury's Dairy Milk, although I actually prefer dark chocolate. (Cadbury's Bourneville is one of my all time favourites) But they say that variety is the spice of life.
Cadbury's Caramel is a bar that I purchase often. In fact I've recently taken to buying one of those multi-packs that contain six bars and stashing it in the pocket of my golf bag in case I get peckish while I'm indulging one of my other main passions in life, golf. (To which I truly *AM* addicted!)
I also buy single bars. In fact, I bought a couple only this evening (hence this review) to scoff while I was watching the final episode of Series 7 of Spooks. (Bloo*y brilliant!)
What do I like about it? Well, the chocolate naturally, and the smooth creamy caramel filling, which somehow doesn't seem to be so runny these days as it was back in the day. (Cadbury's Caramel has been around for a *LONG* time)
Pop it into your mouth, bite down, and you immediately get that totally satisfying Cadbury's chocolate taste, combined with creamy caramel. (God, I'm starting to wish I'd bought one of those multi-packs now, 'cos writing this review is making me want another one!) Because Cadbury's claim to put ¾ pint of fresh milk in every half pound of chocolate I can also kid myself on that it's actually good for me. (Heh, heh)
The bars are a nice pocket size, and come in an attractive blue and yellow foil wrapper. Not that I really care that much *WHAT* it's wrapped in mind you, so long as the choccy and caramel tastes great. Six wee squares per bar, which weighs in at 50g.
Price varies depending where you buy it. I paid a whopping Euro1.04 per bar this evening, 'cos I bought it in the local garage when I was topping up the old diesel tank on the car. I buy the six bar 50g (well, 49g to be exact) multi-packs for a mere Euro3 in my local supermarket, which is 50 cents per bar, or less than half what I paid in the local garage.
I can't tell you whether or not you'll like these bars. But if you like Cadbury's chocolate, and you like caramel, then the chances are you will.
