... and very pleasant to eat. However, it does have its disadvantages. Firstly, cost. It is surprisingly expensive for what it is, costing around 60p per egg on average. Additionally, the size of the egg has recently been sneakily reduced in the UK market in a cost-cutting measure, so you now get less delicious creme egg for your money. Finally, quality is not completely consistent, because some eggs have a lot more chocolate than others, and some are hard and don't present a pleasant experience when you eat them. ...more

Premium Review Cadbury Creme Egg: Sweet Easter (324 words)
by - written on 24/03/08 (Very useful, 148 readings)
Rating:

On Easter Sunday my children received several large Easter eggs. They were also given a box containing 12 Cadburys creme eggs. Now as any responsible parent knows 12 creme eggs are far too many for 2 children to eat! The only thing to do was to help them out and eat a few myself, we all have to make sacrifices for our children after all! So it was that I forced myself to eat a Cadburys creme egg. So what was the verdict? The egg. ******* The brightly coloured foil wrapper is certainly enticing and promises something lovely! On unwrapping the egg you will be presented with a perfectly formed chocolate egg. Bite off the top to discover just how thick ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It must be Easter soon (356 words)

Well its nearly Easter again and the Creme Eggs are back in all the shops. I saw my first one just after new year this year so i really don't know why they don't sell them all year round because people love them so much. A creme egg is an egg shaped chocolate treat that is filled with a lovely sweet fondant. It is clever because the egg 'shell' is made out of lovely Cadburys chocolate and the fondant inside is white with a yellow yolk just like a real egg. The chocolate is thick and the same as Cadburys Dairy Milk. It is a rich and sweet milk chocolate that melts very nicely in my mouth, i think the chocolate on Creme Eggs is very smooth but that is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadbury Creme Egg: Fondant delight (330 words)

Well it's that time of year again when the shelves fill up with all the Easter goodies, and one in particular I look forward too is Cadbury's Crème Egg. This smaller than egg sized confection comes in at around 45p but you can buy 3 packs for £1 if you shop around, so the value is there if you look for it. It is certainly not the largest confection you are liable to purchase but it may well be the sweetest. Once removed from it's nicely decorated foil packaging the Crème Egg doesn't really look that impressive, being a brown egg shaped lump of chocolate with a little stripped pattern down its length. The narrowest end is the end where the chocolate ...  Read the complete review

Cadbury’s Crème Egg- My passion for chocolate is huge and therefore, I believe that writing about my vast experiences and knowledge of these luxurious pieces of genius is the best way to help you and your friends realize what you are missing out on or perhaps need to try. I have written reviews about Cadbury’s Dairy Milk etc but I feel that now is the right time to introduce, to you, my friends, another of Cadbury’s wonderful and creative ideas. The Crème Egg itself. It seems to me that there wasn’t much like this on the market until this wonderful piece of imagination. I mean, today we see Galaxy eggs and Smarties eggs and all sorts, not only at Easter ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadbury Creme Egg: The best egg in the world (296 words)
by - written on 23/03/08 (Useful, 43 readings)

Cadburys cream eggs used to be a chocolate treat only associated with easter but now they never seem to leave our shelves from one easter to the next. The egg concists of an outer layer of thick cadburys chocolate that if it has been stored in the fridge takes quite a bite to break through, once you have broken through the chocolate exterior then comes the special bit, the internal part of the egg has a fondent in which is white in colour with a little piece of yellow to make it resemble an egg but it tastes nothing like an egg thankfully, it is very sweet sugar tasting that is absolutley delicious. I dont think you will find any two people who eat there egg ...  Read the complete review
