Ahh it's coming up to Easter, the shelves are full of eggs! One of these eggs being Cadburys Creme Egg...

I pick one up and take it to the till, sometimes on offer 3 for a £1 otherwise roughly 40p each. I only wanted one though as they can be quite sickly.

I peeled off the foil that it's sealed in to maintain it's freshness, which can be a bit of a nuisance if it's heated a little as it becomes sticky and the foil sticks to it. Which means picking it off with your nails resulting in chocolate getting stuck within your them. What a waste of perfectly good chocolate!

I bite off the top of the egg, yes it is shaped like an egg hence the name of it, it's about the same size too.

The thick, creamy cadbury's chocolate melts on my tongue, gets stuck in my teeth. This is just the beginning. There before my eyes, deep within the egg is a sweet, sugary gooey, fondue which is white in colour with a deep yellow circle in the middle, which is meant to represent an egg. It looks real in a 'sweet' kind of way.

I dip my finger in just to remind myself how sweet and sickly the goo actually is. It's thick, and sticky but I love it. It's naughty, it's not the norm, not like your usual caramel chocolate, oh no this is like melted cake icing within an egg shaped chocolate. No wonder it's so sweet and sugary.

I'm too lazy and sticky now to keep dipping my finger into the goo so I take another bite. My mouth becoming thick with chocolate and the sweetness sending overpowering, numbing tingles through my mouth. It's a bit too heavy in taste and on the stomach for me for it to be an everyday snack, so it is a good thing they are usually only seen at Easter.

One last bit of the egg left, can I do it? I smile (brown choc smeared all over my teeth, how attractive) course I can! I struggle with this last bit though, it's even thicker, but at least the goo has gone now. It's just the thick chocolate my teeth have got to plough through.

That's how I eat mine!

These can be a lovely treat, but at the same time very messy, very sticky, quite sickly and probably too sweet. It's not the type of chocolate you can keep on eating unless your sweet tooth is sweet to the extreme really.

Despite the messiness, sickliness and sweetness I still buy them and do enjoy them, mmm scrummy chocolate egg, it's so wrong it's right!
