Advantages: Everything

Disadvantages: None I love it

Loving chocolate and loving apricots I couldn't resist treating myself to a couple of bars of this last week! Usually it's 51p a bar but it was on special offer for 29p in my local Sainsbury's and seemed a bargain though I was apprehensive as to why it would be reduced by that much in price to be perfectly honest with you and no one else seemed to be buying them!

The Packaging....

This bar of chocolate is available in different sizes (I've seen them online whilst looking for information about this chocolate lol) though I have only seen this in the size I purchased it in. So my packet is long and oblong and made of foil and is purple to the centre of it and then a light lemon colour to each end of it with bright orange metallic apricot shapes on it. On the front I'm told it's Cadbury Dairy Milk Apricot Crumble Crunch and there is a small picture of a chunk of chocolate surrounded with apricots and a glass and a half of milk being poured into it. On the back of the packet (which is now purple in colour only) I'm given nutritional information, ingredients are listed and allergy advice is given, contact details for Cadburys are listed, the best before date is clearly displayed as is the recycle symbol and finally the weight is stated (in this case 49g a single bar). Nice packaging and distinctive it is!

The Chocolate Itself....

Peel off the wrapper and your met with a row of 6 'chunks' of glossy light brown, milky chocolate with the word Cadbury written into each piece. It has little aroma which is of course is chocolaty and sweet as you'd expect it to be.

Taste wise this chocolate is delicious and very different to any chocolate I've actually ever eaten before. Being Cadbury's chocolate it is as usual smooth, sweet and lovely. It melts in the mouth and is milky in flavour and just .... great as I'd expect from this brand. The interesting part is when you start sucking and chewing the chocolate. There are lots of dried and slightly chewy apricots within this that although they are dried as you chew them they become succulent. They are naturally sweet and fresh and really do uplift an otherwise plainish chocolate. I was happy with that until I noticed my teeth hitting some crumble pieces gently. Moist again and not hard, again they gave an interesting change to the proceedings. Enough of everything in this there to create a taste sensation and this is really different and classy tasting. It just feels so luxurious and I ate the one bar and immediately munched through the other!

Overall....

A really generous amount of chocolate, fruity and crunchy wheaty pieces (almost like cereal pieces) are so well blended into this bar. I love it, it's yummy!

Allergy Advice....

Contains Milk, Wheat. May contain Nuts, Soya.
