Advantages: Refreshing.
Disadvantages: Calories and cost.
Cadburys, is in my opinion the most superior brand of confectionary on the market. I like a lot of their products a lot. Cadburys dairy milk is a fantastic base taste and they dont seem to be able to go far wrong from there. Everything they turn their hands to seems to have the magic touch.
I have tried the rough equivalents of this, the Cadburys dream (white chocolate version) and the bournville one (darker chocolate version). I liked them both a lot, and found they compared well to their nearest rivals-the magnum. I was looking forward to trying other products from the ice cream range, and when I saw this I just had to try it. I am not a huge fan of chocolate orange so I was a little dubious, but thought I would give it a go all the same.
The ice creams came in a multipack in a cardboard box, which I was pleased about as I could recycle them. Inside they were individually wrapped, which is another bonus as then they can be put in the freezer individually to save some space. The ice cream comes on a short wooden stick. The stick is a bit too short to be too convenient, you cant seem to eat it without getting your hand dirty that holds the stick, but maybe that is just the way I eat ice creams!
The ice cream comes covered in a thick layer of cadburys chocolate, which of course tastes great. Underneath is some orange flavoured ice cream. It sounds wierd, but it was lovely and creamy and the flavour was nice and refreshing. The two actually went together well, much better than they would have done if it had of been chocolate orange chocolate mixed with ice cream.
Overall this is a good ice cream, but dont forget the obvious downside, the high calories and the slightly more expensive price that comes with being a Cadburys product.
Summary: Reasonable ice cream.
