--- CADBURY FLAKE---
"Like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two Flake chocolate bars are the same".

Flake has got to be one of my very favourite chocolate bars. It is just solid fabulous Cadburys chocolate. Advertised as the 'Crumbliest, flakiest chocolate in the world the flake bar delivers pure Cadburys, creamy chocolate taste; Going since 1920 the flake bar was created by sheer chance when a Cadbury employee over filled a chocolate mould and noticed how the excess had formed a layered chocolate effect.

Known for their Iconic, sexual advertising since the 1950's, the Cadburys advertising TV campaign showed female models enjoying the Cadburys flake just a bit too much, with quite phallic reference when eating the flake. Back in the 60's and before decimalisation the Flake was known as the 6d bar. '6d worth of heaven'. How times change. Their advertising and their famous and awarded 'jingle' went a long way in promoting the Cadbury Flake back in their early days.-

---CADBURY FLAKE---
The slim, layered flake is wrapped in a yellow, twist end, sealed wrapper. Displayed along the front in purple, metallic writing is the word 'Flake', with the famous slogan 'The crumbliest, flakiest milk chocolate' placed above. The thin wrapping is foil backed to ensure complete freshness upon opening. It always amazes me how they reach us intact, as the wrapping really is quite thin. The flake is about 6 and a half inches long and weighs 32g, and for the lactose intolerant please note that this product contains *milk*, though it does state that Flake is suitable for vegetarians but not vegans.

---The Cadbury Taste---
The appeal with this product for me is the standard of the chocolate. Cadbury chocolate has to be the best chocolate out there. I don't think any other maker of chocolate can compete with the richness of taste and flavour of the Cadbury brand. It is a quality brand that has the chocolate flavour spot on, whether it be their fantastic 'Fruit and Nut', or their Flake; the flavour is rich, creamy and delicious. I like the layering of the Flake chocolate, and the way it crumbles upon biting.

The hard snap of the chocolate with the first taste and the subsequent melting of the chocolate upon the tongue, the full chocolate taste fills the mouth with the most wonderful taste experience. It is quite a decadent bite which I always really enjoy and I feel fully satisfied after eating one. It is just the right amount of chocolate to eat in one go, and without being sickly, or over filling.-

---THE INGREDIENTS---
Milk - Sugar - Cocoa Butter - Cocoa Mass - Vegetable Fat - Flavourings - Emulsifier (E442) - 170 Calories - 0.09g Salt -

The Flake does contain vegetable fats along with Cocoa butter. There is NO sesame, Gluten, wheat, egg, peanut or nut and the Flake is suitable for Coeliacs.

---SUMMARY---
I have always loved the Cadburys Flake bar. It's got a fantastic flavour and that's what it is all about really isn't it? To get the cocoa balance just right and Cadburys are masters of this. I like the texture of the Flake also; it makes the Flake fun to eat, and not hard work. The log of chocolate is quite soft and crumbly but it does have a good 'snap' to it on first bite. In fact I like all the Cadbury range because of the taste of their fabulous chocolate. For me it's all about the taste and as long as Cadbury keep their recipe the same I shall continue to buy and enjoy the Flake Bar. 10/10 of course what else could I give it.-

I love Flake, and prefer it when it comes straight out of the freezer - more crumbliness, and bite. Nicola x
