Advantages: Delicious chocolate

Disadvantages: Get in a right old mess

The Flake chocolate bar has been around for a very long time, it was developed in 1920 by a Cadbury employee by mistake. He found that when the chocolate moulds were drained off, the chocolate fell off into a stream and created folded flaky chocolate.

It is a very popular brand and is famous for its delicious taste and crumbly texture, as well as the saucy Flake Girl TV adverts.
You can't beat a bar of Cadbury's flake chocolate for an ultimate chocolate fix!

I'm sure there isn't anyone out there who doesn't know about or wouldn't recognise the bright yellow foil wrapping paper on a flake, therefore all I have to say about that is, just twist it open and enjoy!

A standard 35g Flake has 180 calories so it's not that bad really! (For chocolate)

Flaky ideas:

(That's if you haven't already eaten it)

Break in half and stick in your ice cream cone like a 99

Melt and dip the ends of strawberries into the chocolate.

Crumble up and sprinkle over ~
Ice cream, cakes with icing sugar, hot chocolate or hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows

There have been a few variations launched in the past such as the white chocolate flake called the snowflake, this was discontinued last year, the dark chocolate flake and the flake dipped (very similar to the twirl.) also the flake praline.

You can also get a flake variety chocolate gift box and mini fun sized bars.

The one and only bad point for me is that no matter what I do I always get in a right old mess, dropping chocolate crumbs everywhere.

It's a good job I have a very lucky dog, who hoovers up my chocolate bits after me, so the dog approves too!

Cost:

On average a flake costs about 39p, however they are often on offer for 3 for £1 along with a few other Cadbury chocolate bars in our local Co Op

Summary: All of that writing about Flake has made me want one, see you in a bit I'm off to the shop! Thats my
