One thing I do not do is eat a lot of chocolate, I have a few chocolate bars I like and that's it. One of those is the fantastic starbar from Cadbury (yum, yum). Wrapped in an orangey, yellowy coloured wrapper this delicious bar is truly out there on its own when it comes to chocolate bars but unfortunately can not be found as regularly available as some of the others. Go into any shop and you will be sure to find snickers, a mars bar or a Twix. There will certainly be a dairy milk, a bounty or a bag of m&m`s but will there be a starbar? Quite often no there will not be, this seems to have become a bit of a forgotten sweet which should never happen because ... Read the complete review

Now here's a bar with an interesting history. Cadbury's Star Bar might almost be called the bar - and brand - that wouldn't die, it or something very similar having spent periods of its existence as, variously, Nudge, Nunch, and Boost Peanut, as well as being called Moro Peanut in Ireland (despite the fact that the British Star Bar is *made* in Ireland!) and Wunderbar in both Germany and Canada. Until a few years ago, it was notably difficult to find in the shops, but these days it always seems to be in stock in my local Co-op for around 48p. You still never see it advertised on TV, though. The wrapper is highly distinctive, and is a far cry from the ... Read the complete review

Before last week it's been so long since I've eaten a Star Bar. I used to see them all the time up at the shops and then no sooner have I decided that I'll go out and buy one, they disappear. Thankfully my local off license stock them so even though they are at a higher price, I am willing to hand over my money for a bar which is quickly becoming one of my favourites. The actual packaging does look a little outdated but then it is a 1970s bar. It is a bright orange/yellow colour so it does stand out from the rest of the chocolate bars. I've done a little bit of looking about and discovered that the reason as to why it's still being produced is because it ... Read the complete review

The Starbar was something I'd not tried until recently and I won't be trying it again any time soon, however I can say I did try it. It's obviously the Cadbury answer to the Snickers bar which sees a chocolate coated peanut and toffee bar stuck on the shelf in a garage. The wrapper unlike Snickers' is bright and colourful and stands out brilliantly on the shelf, unlike the rather boring brown of Snickers. The wrapper has Blue, Red and Orange and really is the sort of eye catching wrapper that would catch the kids eyes as they walked past it on in the shop. Looking at the actual bar it's a sort of semi circular bar about 4 inches long and covered in the always ... Read the complete review

I love nothing more than a bar of chocolate, on a health kick or not! Today coming out of the gym I felt in a really naughty mood so decided to treat myself to a bar of chocolate in my local Sainsbury's on the way home! This was one I've actually never tried before and that's why I ended up buying it! The Packaging.... Bright yellow long plastic wrapper with purple writing on it telling me it is Cadbury's Starbar which has peanuts and Caramel in it. On the back of the wrapper ingredients and allergy advice is given as is nutritional information, contact details for Cadbury's are listed and finally the recycle symbol, size (53g) the Vegetarian symbol ...
