Advantages: Not messy, absolutely scrumpcious
Disadvantages: Absolutely none!
The much better alternative to a Cadbury's Flake I think. The twirl is like a flake but it has been dipped in more chocolate. The sticks of chocolate a smaller than a flake but you do get two in one packet which makes up for it.
The fact that the twirls have been dipped in chocolate is the main thing that makes them superior to the flake. With the flake, it all breaks off when you take a bite. The rusult is that you end up in a terrible mess with chocolate alldown you and you only get to eat about half the bar becaue the othe half has flaked off. The fact that the twirl is dipped in chocolate holds all the thin flaky pieces of chocolate together meaning that you don't get in a mess and you get to eat all the chocolate that you paid for.
Like I said, the twirl is actually two seperate sticks of chocolate in one packet. This makes them perfect for someonelike me who doesn't like to eat too much chocolate at a time as you can easily save the other half of the twirl for later. It is also perfect for sharing with a friend if you're in the sharing mood. Or perhaps your friend cound get a two fingered twix and you could share that way.
The actual chocolate is classic melt in you mouth cabury's chcolate, and the flake feature of it gives it a different texture without changing the flavour like adding a new ingredient such as nuts would. It also makes it nice and light so that it is quick to eat (or you can savour it) and also you don't feel so naughty about having some chocolate.
The packaging is shiny purple with bold yellow letters spelling out "Twirl". It is nothing special, but it does catch your eye and make it easily recognisible. I should also note that the packaging is easy to open but not so easy that it will come open accidently in your bag.
Summary: The better, less messy version of flake
