Advantages: Heavenly flavour, great texture

Disadvantages: Please don't take it away again

Released in 1983, the Wispa bar was initially created to counter the huge success of the bubbly Aero bar, Cadbury's decided they needed to remain ahead of the pack and created the Wispa bar.

The bar has always been packaged in its blue wrapper with large red writing, it is a really good design and easily distinguishable from other chocolate bars.

The bar was taken off the shelves as Cadburys didn't feel it was selling enough, it has been out of the limelight for a long time and has been really missed, the bar was brought back onto the shelves initially as a one off in W H Smiths last year, the bars flew off the shelves and eventually after huge internet campaigns on Facebook and many other sites, Cadbury's bowed to pressure and returned the Wispa bar to the shelves. It has proved to be a huge success and I can't tell you the number of people, men and women who tell me they are addicted to Wispas.

The bar is generally around 45p although Iceland had a 5 for £1 deal recently which was incredible. The bar is well designed its not huge but is a bar to eat slowly and savour. It has a bubbly texture and really bubbles and melts in your mouth, it is a strong milky flavour and tastes amazing.

I have to admit i'm not a huge chocolate lover but I adore Wispas, I got some for christmas and was delighted even though I could have bought them myself for under a pound. The Wispa is back in circulation and it isn't going away again, its a wonderful flavour, wonderful design and as the advertising campaign proved it has been away for too long and is really well received on its return.

Summary: Mmmmmmmm, Wispa
