Advantages: Great whole bar of chocolate
Disadvantages: None whatsoever!!!
Cadburys Wispa is instantly recognisable from its distinctive packaging of a blue background and red writting and it is one of my favourite chocolate bars. The Wispa bar was first launched in 1981 as a trial but it was not put onto our sheleves until 1983.
I remember loving the chocolate bar as a child and on a trip to the tourist attraction Cadburys World in Bournville, Birmingham I was delighted to find we were given 2 bars of the Wispa on arrival! You can therefore imagine my discust when it was discontinued in 2003. The Wispa was replaced by the Cadburys 'bubbly bar' similar in style to the fruit and nut chocolate where you can break the chunks off. I remeber joinging an internet campaign to bring the Wispa back on my facebook page and for a short while in 2007 it was re-launched but this was only a limited period (BOO!!), it was not until October 2008 that it was put back onto our shelves, the great british public getting there way!!!
A Wispa bar contains 210 calories per bar with 12.9 gram of fat ans 21 gram of fat, ok so it is not the healthiest of snacks but it sure is enjoyable! Cadburys has always been my prefred chocolate and many said the Wispa was a competitor to Nestles aero, I would definately stick with Cadburys!! The chocolate is way better!!!
Alongside the original Wispa there has been the Wispa Gold, the Wispa Bite (buscuit filling) and Wispa mint. I am not a fan of these, I have never liked mint chocolate and the buscuit filling takes me away from the idea that it is a chocolate bar. Thw Wispa gold was very sweet and sickly, Not a fan! So, if you want a great chocolate bar, go with the Wispa!!! Original but the best!!!
Summary: Cadburys produced chocoalte bar, bubbly chocolate, fab taate!!!
