Advantages: lovely taste, texture & colour

Disadvantages: high in calories, fat & sugar

Cadburys made these lovely Wispa bars which were always popular but they were taken off sale but thankfully re-introduced last year due to popular demand.

I love all Cadbury's chocolate but very rarely buy it for myself so I was really happy when my daughter bought a Wispa for me as a treat because I'm quite poorly at the moment & my appetite has gone.

I'm guessing that she paid around 50p for this from our local newsagents (I didn't like to ask!) & it's exactly as shown in the picture with it's bright. heat-sealed wrapping. This bar is the normal size (unfortunately I can't read the grammage) but you can buy mini ones as well in multippacks or pick & mix.

Although described as 'bubbly' they are more substantial than Areos but less dense than their usual chocolate bars. The colour is just right for milk chocolate, the texture is quite light, the taste is delicious & the Wispa is very satisfying.

The inner part of the wrapper is made from silver foil so with the heat-sealed edges you know these will always be fresh unless tampered with.

All the ingredients & nutritional information is provided on the reverse side of the wrapper but it does warn that it may contain nuts, wheat & soya which may make them unsuitable for some people.

As you'd expect the Wispa contains a good number of calories - 210 - plus 21.1g sugar & 12.9g of fat. No wonder it states on the wrapper 'to be enjoyed as part of a healthy active lifestyle'! Oh well, you only live once so why not enjoy one as a treat?

summary
~
- described as 'aerated' but more substantial than an Aero & doesn't make a mess.
- well packaged to keep fresh.
- lovely chocolatey colour, nice light texture, tastes delicious.
- recommended if you haven't yet tried one.

Summary: lovely chocolate bar for a treat
