Cadbury's Flake
by catrocks03 Ok, so its not a suprise I mentioned Ripple in this review, those who know me know I'm more of a Galaxy girl than a Cadburys girl. However I overall am a chocolate lover and won't turn my nose up if someone offers me a Cadburys selection pack. My son, my boyfriend and I recieved several selection packs for Christmas. Less than a month ... later they are all gone! Flakes are wrapped in a yellow foil wrapper to keep the chocolate fresh. They have a twisted end which you just untwist to open, this is unlike other chocolates where you just rip the top off. Flake has the usual cadburys taste, full of cocoa, rich, smooth, not exactly creamy though. My problem with flakes is well they just are a bit TOO flaky in my opinon. They go everywhere and many times I've dropped bits on my clothes. Being such thin bits of chocolate they melt very easily. Ripple are Galaxys kind of equivalent to Flake. Their design in my opinon is better because their flake is covered in a chocolate coat which makes it that bit less likely to fall all over your clothes. Flake also often has a few bits of chocolate flakes in the bottom of the wrapper, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has tipped it up in my mouth! I'm so classy... You can currently buy a flake at tesco for 59p or a 4 pack for £1 Their chocolate so it doesn't take a smartie pants to figure out they wont be kind to the waistine! They also wouldnt necessarily be the best snack- when your blood sugar goes up it will ultimatly crash...usually making you want more chocolate! It's best enjoyed with lunch rather than as lunch. I've been naughty before and grabbed this for breakfast (in my defense I was running late and had no fruit in house to grab), as well as leaving me with a rather beautiful chocolate stain on my top for the day it didn't exactly set me up for the day! Cadbury's Flake
by popmusicfan This Flake bar tastes delicious. It is made with 100% genuine milk chocolate which just melts in the mouth. The taste is really rich and creamy and it stays with you, the aftertaste is really pleasant. The bar is around 180 calories so it wouldn't be for people on a diet, it also contains a moderate amount of fat. However the bar is an ... ideal quick snack and it gives you an added boost of energy too. The bar is messy to eat so be careful where you eat it. Most times that I eat this I end up with flakes of chocolate all over my clothes which is a nightmare to get out once it's melted. The bar ends up everywhere, no matter how careful you are when eating it. It's down to how it's made though. The bar is basically just flakes of loose chocolate fused together. It tastes delicious though and just the one bar will fill you up and keep you going for a while. The bar is presented in a foil wrapper which keeps the bar fresh until you are ready to eat it. An ideal snack which satisfies a craving and keeps hunger at bay. Around 70p per bar. Read the complete review |

Cadbury's Flake
by flwilson I love Cadbury chocolate and normally like all (or most) or their products. I love the flavour of their flake as it tastes just like any other Cadbury product but not quite as rich due to the gaps in between the chocolate. This adds texture to the product which makes it different from every other product on the market. Cadbury ... have a certain way of making every one of their product different from the last one and the rest in their range. They do seem to know what consumers want and seem to bring out successful products. I find that, despite the lovely flavour of the Cadbury flake, it is slightly too flaky. When you bite into ti, the crumbs go everywhere and you end up covered in chocolate. I also find that the wrapper they are in does not help matters with the crumbs. If it was something that could open out flat, you might be able to eat it over the wrapper and not drop as many crumbs. I find the crumbs a problem because it then means I have to clean myself up after or eat it with great difficulty which makes life a lot harder. Read the complete review |
