Advantages: Chocolate layer is a winner.

Disadvantages: Could be a better biscuit.

I am a huge fan of cadbury's confectionary products. They have created a wonderful base in dairy milk and seem to be able to transfer that magic to everything they do. To me, no other chocolate brand even comes close.

Recently cadbury's have diversified into some more varied markets and these Cadbury's rich tea biscuits are a product of that. The biscuits come in typical biscuit packaging, a long round roll. The packaging is traditional cadburys purple and blue. They have the cadburys logo on, the words rich tea (with the C replaced for a heart which is a nice touch) and a picture of two biscuits on the front. I am not sure if the packaging is recyclable or not. A downside of the packaging (this is not particular to only this brand of biscuits) is that I would be much happier if it was resealable, if you could have a few biscuits then seal it back up to save putting it back in the biscuit tin.

Inside the pack the biscuits are stacked together, back to back. They are traditional rich tea biscuits with a layer of delicious cadburys chocolate on the top. The layer of chocolate is very tatsy of course, being cadburys. It is also very generous whcih is a good sign. For those who havent tried rich tea biscuit, it is a hard beige biscuit. It is a relatively plain and I find it quite boring. In this combination the chocolate jazzes it up a fair bit, but not quite enough to make them my favorite biscuits. I think if these where cookies or digestives they wouldbe amazing.

Summary: Chocolate good, biscuit bad!
