Ahhhhhhhhhhhh a new offering from Cadbury?s. They have recently released this little offering as part of the Dairy Milk range. A new chocolate product should of course be tested out so I happily obliged in doing so.

I saw this advertised on a bus shelter. They really shouldn?t be allowed to do this, my bus stop is right outside a newsagents and as I knew the bus wouldn?t be along for a few minutes I thought I?d pop in and buy one.

Unless this particular newsagents seems to be slacking somewhat in the chocolate stakes as they did not seem to have any of these.

However I was not deterred. I was determined to continue my mission to find this chocolate. (I can be very stubborn where chocolates concerned!) so as I was early I decided to walk about 500m down the road to the next bus stop and where I knew there was a newsagents on the other side of the road.

Success. I had found what I was looking for. 36p for a lovely bar of chocolatey goodness. I didn?t feel too guilty either as I had walked there to earn it. Ok ok 500m is hardly a long way but it makes a difference.

Amazingly I managed to resist temptation and save this for my lunch break. (I still managed to get to work on time by the way!) It tasted twice as good at lunch because I was hungry.

The packaging is just like the traditional purple Dairy Milk wrapper but with bubbly written underneath and a little picture of bubbles. Mmmmmmmmm

When you open the packet you would be forgiven for thinking ?aha a regular dairy milk? but no. the secret lies inside. Although the chocolate bar looks like the average dairy milk from the outside. Smooth and divided into 6 sections with the wonderful smell of chocolate it is far from ordinary.

This chocolate bar is basically a Wispa re-invented and
I absolutely love it. Those teeny little bubbles give a lovely texture it the mouth and then there?s the delightful Cadbury?s taste. (Don?t hold me responsible for cravings caused by reading this review!)

There is something about chocolate that is just unbeatable no matter what anyone says. Especially when it?s made by Cadbury?s.

You must be starting to think ?Can Cadbury?s do no wrong??. Well unfortunately for all of us there is a downside to this product. (Though not one I intend to sacrifice it for) and that?s the health aspect. Chocolate is not the healthiest food in the book so here?s the nutritional information for you to ponder over.

Per Bar (only a small sin)- Energy 765kj / 185kcal, Protein 2.7g, Carbohydrate 19.7g, Fat 10.4g

Per 100g (mmmmm lots of chocolate!)- Energy 2190kj / 525 kcal, Protein 7.6g, Carbohydrate 56.4g, Fat 29.7g

On balance of health and taste I would definitely still buy this. We all need chocolate.

More seriously though this product should be avoided by both nut and dairy allergy sufferers as the manufacturer states that it is unsuitable for these people.
The exact wording on the product is this product may contain traces of nut, wheat and soya. But it is suitable for vegetarians.

My overall opinion of this product is that it is delicious despite the fact that Cadbury?s seem to have thought that we?ll all have taken no notice of the fact that they?ve subtly replaced the Wispa.

Though I suppose this isn?t a bad thing as I probably wouldn?t have brought one if I hadn?t have seen that advert on the side of the bus shelter.
