Advantages: Delicious and refreshing
Disadvantages: Unhealthy =(
Cadbury are known as being the best producer of chocolate in the U.K and I think to be honest it would be very difficult to find anybody who has not tried a bar of their chocolate before and almost impossible to find somebody who hasn't heard of them. They have made loads of wonderful delights for us to gorge ourselves on which is a good thing as their chocolate is absolutely delicious but it also tends to be unhealthy.
Anyway the latest bar of Cadburys Chocolate that I've decided to sample is Cadburys Dairy Milk Mint Chips, this sounds delicious to me but if you don't like mint then I suggest you don't try it because as the title suggests it is very minty. These don't seem to be widely available but I paid £1.69 for a bar in Tesco and I think that was a fair price seeing as the bar was 200g and it is a Cadbury product so you can expect to pay a bit more for it.
This chocolate bar comes in the normal Cadbury Dairy Milk purple wrapping but it also has bits of green over the wrapper so that you can tell it apart from the other versions, not that it would be so bad to buy the wrong buy by mistake, it would in fact be the perfect excuse to go back and have to buy this one as well resulting in you having 2 chocolate bars!!
Cadbury Dairy Milk is known for having a wonderfully smooth creamy taste and texture which will just melt in your mouth and that's why it is so popular. This chocolate bar is exactly the same, it's made from the normal Cadbury's Dairy Milk but it has little green bits randomly dotted about in it. These little green bits are what make this bar so special and for me make it better than the normal version. I really like chocolate with orange or mint in and therefore this bar is perfect for me because it has a strong minty flavour, I really don't think people who aren't so keen on mint would enjoy this as it is very strong. Once you bite off one of the little green chips you get a very strong taste of mint. I don't think they are meant to be eaten on their own which is probably why they taste so strong. However when you eat them with a mouthful of chocolate you get a very pleasant taste. The mint takes away a little of the sweetness of the chocolate bar and provides you with a refreshing taste. The overall effect is a nice smooth creamy chocolate which melts on in your mouth leaving you with crunchy mint bits which have a strong minty flavour and refresh your mouth. This is great for if you're going on a date as you'll have minty fresh breath from a bar of chocolate.
Overall I think that this bar is fantastic, it wouldn't be suitable for those who don't like mint because the taste is so strong but for those who do it is a real treat and should be bought and enjoyed as much as any other Cadbury Dairy Milk Bar. Do try to remember though that as it is Dairy Milk it will be rather unhealthy, why can't anyone make a healthy chocolate bar?
Summary: Great as a treat, one of my favourites!
