Advantages: Tastes great
Disadvantages: Fattening
Cadburys Dairy Milk Turkish is one of the things I like to have as a treat as I do like Turkish delight.
THE BAR
The chocolate bar comes in a purple foil wrapper with the Dairy Milk logo in a white stripe and the Turkish written in a pink stripe. There is also a picture of one of the pieces of the chocolate showing the Turkish inside.
The bar has 6 pieces which are all connected but can easily be broken apart. The Turkish does not come out when you snap the pieces as they are contained inside each piece by chocolate.
The chocolate is the standard Dairy milk chocolate which is very smooth and creamy and inside is a very sweet Turkish delight filing.
The back of the packaging has all of the ingredients and the nutritional values.
NUTRITION - per bar

MY OPINION
I do find these bars to be a bit on the sweet side but I just really enjoy treating myself to one after a busy day.
The chocolate bar does have a nicer taste if it has been placed in the fridge for a bit before eating as the chocolate is a bit firmer and the Turkish delight does go a bit harder. I have found the Turkish delight to be a bit runny if the bar has got warm by being left in a bag or cupboard.
INFO
This bar cost me 48p from my local shop and I think this is the average price for most shops at the moment.
There is a warning on the back of the packet saying that this bar may contain traces of nuts, wheat and Soya and that it also contains milk so if you are allergic to any of these products then do stay away from this bar.

- 16/02/08 God, I love this stuff.
When I was pregnant I used to take a big slab of it up to bed every other night! Have to make a concious effort not to buy it now as I'm struggling with the baby bulge and it's soooooo full of sugar! |
