When I saw this new chocolate bar, flake dipped, I was most excited as I thought this would be a winning combination of the two. Flake dipped, is as the name suggests a flake chocolate bar (those gorgeous thin layers of soft chocolate) coated with a thicker layer of slightly harder chocolate. It is a bit like a bigger twirl, where the chocolate inside is softer. Overall this chocolate bar is incredibly tasty. The soft crum...more

Premium Review Cadburys Flake Dipped: TASTY BUT NOT THAT TASTY (515 words)

Cadbury Flake Dipped. I have tried to stay away from Chocolate for a while as I am still in possession of a slight bit of excess baby weight. However after a particularly bad day I ordered my other half to pick up some chocolate treats on his way home from work. This Cadbury Flake Dipped was one of the three chocolate bars he bought home and one I was rather pleased about as it had been some time since I had last had one of these. Now I am a big fan of Cadbury Flake but this Flake Dipped I am a little less keen on. A chocolate bar nowadays is looking at costing you just under 50 pence and some even come in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review not as good as a ripple (181 words)

I have always eaten cadburys flakes but there has always been one major problem with them, they make such a mess. A cadburys flake is a bar of chcolate which is not solid, it is lots of tiny slithers of chocolate all lightly stuck together which crumbles in your mouth as you bit into it but it also crumbles all over you, untill now. Cadburys must have known the mess i managed to get in eating one of these so came up with the brilliant idea of dipping the flakey chocolate bar into a layer of chocolate to coat the out side to stop me getting in a mess. This works realy well and now i can enjoy my cadburys flake in peace without getting into ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadburys Flake Dipped: What 'dippy' person invented this? (401 words)

What is it? The Flake is suppose to be the 'Crumbiest, flakiest chocolate in the world'. It's basically a long round bar which has layer and layers of chocolate that are placed together. There is a twist to this particular bar though and that is that it's been 'dipped' in milk chocolate to give the crumbly flake a jacket. When I heard about these I thought that it would have been a good idea to dip the flake in dark chocolate but it's dipped in a similar milk chocolate to what the flake is made of. The smell and look. It smells exactly like Cadbury's Dairy Milk which I think is an unbeatable smell. Unlike the normal Flake which looks ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nice but not the best. (314 words)

The Cadbury Flake is a mighty chocolate bar, but with the original idea adapted, does it keep up to it's expectations. The packaging is very nice, and always keeps the product fresh. However, it is very thin, so the bar is sometimes broken, ruining part of the experience. The bar costs around 50p, which is very expensive compared to other bars as you get less chocolate for your money as the bar is smaller than others for the same price. Also, the bar isn't very filling so you find yourself having to spend more money to fill you up after a break. When you open the pack, you are awaited by a rich smell of chocolate which is very ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadburys Flake Dipped: Dippity Doo Dar (372 words)

I've always loved Flake bars, they've always appealed to me as being a completely indulgent chocolate bar and completely perfect for curling up on the sofa and scoffing while reading a trashy magazines. I think the advertising campaigns in the 80's created a really luxourious image for this bar, but it was completely backed up by the whole experience of eating one. For me the only downside of a flake bar is also the thing that also really appeals and is the characteristic that makes it different from all other chocolate bars - it really is the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate.....and those little bits go everywhere. Perfect to indulge at home in solidarity but ...  Read the complete review
