Advantages: Beats all the downsides of a flake.
Disadvantages: None.
I am a huge fan of cadburys chocolate. I just dont feel that you can beat it and nothing else I have tried even comes close. The taste of dairy milk is lovely and creamy and cadburys seem to manage to transfer this magic to many other chocolate bars.
I really like Cadburys flake. The combination of delicious tatsing chocolate with that fantastic thin layer folded chocolate texture is amazing. I am also a great fan of the twirl, it has the same texture as a flake, just thicker, and it is coated on the outside, so you get more chocolate. When I saw this new chocolate bar, flake dipped, I was most excited as I thought this would be a winning combination of the two.
Flake dipped, is as the name suggests a flake chocolate bar (those gorgeous thin layers of soft chocolate) coated with a thicker layer of slightly harder chocolate. It is a bit like a bigger twirl, where the chocolate inside is softer.
Overall this chocolate bar is incredibly tasty. The soft crumbly chocolate inside tastes as good as ever and the cadbusyr thick coating really sets it off. It also conatins more chocolate than the flake, so technically better value for money. The great thing about this bar though is that it is missing the two major downsides that I alway shave with normal flakes. Flakes are crumbly and difficult to eat without creating a mess. Due to the coating on this bar, you really minimise that problem. The other good side is the wrapping, it is much easier to tear off as it doesnt have the silly twisty edges, so you avoid ruining the chocolate bar like you do with flake!
Summary: Better than a flake!
