I'm not a huge fan of cereals, but I do need a bit of a pick-me-up in the mornings to be able to function properly at work! I am a big fan of croissants and love Tescos freshly baked croissants from their in-store bakery. However, with the school run and work I don't get time to visit the store each day, so I have started buying the ones off the shelves on a weekly basis and I tend to stick to their Cafe Continental Croissants, as I believe these are the best value for money. A pack of six Cafe Continental Croissants will set you back just 99p, which for me is really cheap. As they are so cheap I half expected the quality to be compromised somewhat, but they ... I love the weekend and thoroughly look forward to it particularly for indulging myself in lifes little luxuries. I particularly enjoy sitting down to a long late breakfast on a Sunday as during the week this most important meal of the day is either rushed or missed out completely. One of the items I buy for this occasion is a packet of croissants. Yes I know that they are loaded with everything that's bad for you however a once a week indulgence is allowed!!!! These little delights however can be expensive and the price can vary considerably depending on where you actually purchase them. My granddaughter and I were discussing how well the Europeans eat in the morning compared to us Brits who tend to get by on a bowl of cereal and an apple for breakfast, when I mentioned the continental breakfast we'd eaten each morning when we went to Disney Land Paris a couple of years ago she said she wished we had such an exciting brekkie to look forward to.
