I very rarely use sugar in my home. I never add it to tea only occasionally coffee and not cereals or anything really. However with recently moving and people helping me move, them being around so much I did need some sugar to offer them and the likes. I bought myself a bag of Tate & Lyle white sugar and knowing my mate only uses sweeteners I purchased a tub of this to which I have been using in various ways as well.
The jar I purchased holds 40g of the product and its a red and white in colour and has a red plastic lid to the top of it which has the word Canderel engraved into it then a largish hole and then a small section of holes (so you shake it onto foods etc). You simply twist the top to reveal the hole or the sprinkling section to use it. On the front of the jar there are photographs of strawberries on it and we are told that it is indeed Canderel 'Delicious Sweet Taste', Granular Low Calories Sweetener. On the back of the jar other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use the lid, the size of the product is stated (as I have listed already), there is a nutritional chart given and contact details for the manufacturer are listed too. Nice and informative and good quality jar this is.
The Sweetener Itself:
White and more powdery than I expected granules to be this is really good stuff in my humble opinion! Very sweet and light I find this the perfect low calorie option of sugar that is very versatile indeed. Like I stated at the top of this review I do take a little sugar usually in my coffee and with this I use the rule in my head as its so sweet in flavour to use half the amount of that I'd usually use of regular sugar. In hot drinks it does 'fizz up' slightly but settles fast and its great because it melts and gives no grainy texture to anything. I have also sprinkled this on fruit and the likes since having it and again I use less than I would of normal sugar and am happy that although it is sweet it isn't unhealthy as such! This is a versatile product that I really appreciate having in my cupboard and although more fiddly than using a sweetening tablet type idea I prefer it as it never leaves a strange aftertaste in my mouth as it melts so well.

I purchased this for £1.00 in my local poundland store though expect to pay about £1.49 a jar for this size in all good supermarkets etc.
