I have an incredibly sweet tooth, and have had ever since I was a nipper. Nowadays I have three and a half teaspoons of sugar in my numerous mugs of coffee and tea, and also use sugar copiously on my morning cornflakes or weetabix. My 18-year-old daughter has inherited this sweet tooth from her old dad, but unfortunately she has been a type 1 diabetic (insulin dependant) ever since she was 5 years old, which means that too much sugar in her diet can be extremely hazardous to her health. This means we have had to find an alternative sweetener which she can use in her coffee and other drinks, (she also inherited my love of coffee) and an alternative ... Read the complete review

I do like a gallon of coffee or so a day but with one teaspoon of sugar going in each time I decided to try sweetners again - last time I tried hermesetas which I found revolting but things move on so its always worth another go. I drink around 7 cups of coffee a day and wich 1 sugar in each I decided to give sweetners a go. I bought Canderel from Wilkinsons. It is in a pack of 100 and I paid 99p for it. With it being on offer I bought 3 packs! Now I have never used sweetners before but as im on a diet I thought I should cut out my big daily sugar intake. I expected to be quite dissapointed with sweetners and thught they would taste bitter, but I was really suprised! I honestly cannot tell the difference. Each Canderel tablet contains NO calories whatsoever, compared to 1 teaspoon of sugar whcih contains 20 calories. This has meant im saving ... Read the complete review

Canderel tablets are from the range of canderel low calorie sweeteners. I believe canderel to be one of the best low calorie sweeteners on the market. I have tried time and time again and ultimately failed to drink tea and coffee without some form of sweetener. I am always watching my weight, so Canderel Tablets are a good option for me and help me to cut out a few unneccessary calories. It doesn't have an overpowering artificial taste like other sweteners I have tried. I have a pack containing 100 tablets and it's packaged in an oval container with a clicker at the base to dispense the tablets one by one. It sits neatly in the palm of your hand and is easy to ... Well as we all know to much sugar in our diets is bad for us. Those of you who have read my previous reviews will know that I have a seriously sweet tooth so a few months ago I tried to cut back on the amount of sugar in my diet starting with the stuff I put in my tea. Admittingly I don't drink tea that often but when I do I normally like to put in tons of sugar. Deciding that sugar in my tea would be an easy place to start I decided to see what sugar replacements I could find. I came across Canderel Tablets in the supermarket and decided to try them because they were reasonably cheap compared to the other makes at just £0.98 for 100 sweetener ... Read the complete review
