I bought this at the weekend, and, after sampling it for the past couple of days thought it was time for a review. Packaging: Carte D'Or's Leon Sorbet comes in a 1 litre / 650g, oval shaped, predominantly see through tub. It has the usual Care D'or logo & a picture of some sorbet with pieces of lemon on the lid. The bottom of the tub contains the ingredients & the nutritional information along with a few other pieces of information. The product describes itself as:- "Lemon sorbet with lemon fruit pieces (5%). You can visit the website at:- www.LoveIceCream.com Nutritional Information: Per ... Read the complete review

Carte d'or Lemon sorbet This sorbet is certainly delicious it has a very tangy taste to it and on opening the pack a delicious rich lemony smell exudes from it making it unmistakable. The colour is very pale almost translucent in colour with bits of zest incorporated all the way through it giving it a bit of a bite. The flavour is something to behold and is I feel I must warn you very potent and powerfully lemon. In fact it packs a lemony wallop. After the first spoonful you are hooked, or at least I was anyway. Sliding along your tastebuds creating havoc is a good way to describe this intense flavour. Carte d'or are extremely good icecream and ... Read the complete review

After recently puchasing the lemon flavoured Carte D'Or sorbet I have to say that I am dissapointed. The Small pieces of lemon in the sorbet may look luxurious but they create an overwhelming bitterness which makes it inedible. i tried eating around the lemon pieces but the bitterness from the skin seems to have seeped into the entire thing. The texture of the lemon skin is also awful as it is frozen hard. I think its a real shame that Carte D'Or has released this without tasting it first, as i do enjoy their other ice creams for a mid range affordable brand. obviously they did no market research on this flavour as everyone i asked to try it agrees that it is ... As the long summer nights are beginning which I love and the times for lying out in the sun in the garden are also starting what better way to relax than sunbathing and cooling down with Carte D'Or sorbet. I was recently out on a shopping trip and as usual I throw in everything quickly that looks great to eat but also not too expensive and it is probably always going to be something fattening. I didn't think of buying any cold desserts but then when I saw sorbet it brought back the memories of times at the beach so I decided to buy it but I am sure it was cheaper than usual, only costing £1 something. I know that the Carte D'Or sorbets are meant to ... Read the complete review

I like Carte D'Or ice creams. There is always a Vanilla Carte D'Or tub in our freezer. It has a bit more fat and less water compared to the other ones I tried so it is not too cold. It also has a nice, almost natural Vanilla flavour. (My 4 year old son is suspicious of black vanilla seeds in it so we have to "sell" him a whipped cream as a "vanilla ice cream"). There was a promotion of new tastes of Carte D'Or ice creams in our Tesco recently. As my hand went for the usual Vanilla one I spotted new labels with the reduced price and exotic flavours. I am a big fan of sorbets as well as citrus fruits (especially citrus peels and candied ... Read the complete review
