I adore cheddar cheese me, so I do. There's nothing quite so satisfying as a good old cheddar cheese sandwich when you're feeling a tad peckish. Another favourite wee snack is cheddar cheese with Jacob's Cream Crackers. You can have it with ham, (another favourite of mine) pickles, salad, or whatever else takes your fancy. If you're feeling really sinful you can even have a *TOASTED* cheese sandwich! I particularly like my cheddar cheese sandwiches with a packet of Walker's Ready Salted Crisps. (But there again, I'd eat Walker's ready salted Crisps with just about anything you care to name) I'm not too fussy about the brand of ... Read the complete review

How appropriate that I should be the first one to write an opinion on cheese, in particular, my very favourite, Cheddar cheese. You see, I have had a cheesy relationship with Cheddar cheese for as long as I can remember. Don't give me any of that foreign rot, stinky sock types, or veiney blue living organisms, it's Cheddar I want and I want it now! >>>>Just come back from the fridge, had to go and have a bite having whipped myself up into a frenzie of separated curds and wey. Right I think I am ready to continue. There is nothing like a piece of tasty, tangy, not too matured, hard cheese, I eat it with almost anything. Of course there ... Read the complete review

If I'm sitting quietly, minding my own business, and all of a sudden I feel the urge for a nibble what do I reach for? The blue veined or the smooth harder one with the sort of nutty flavour? It's a tough decision but my favourite has to be Cheddar, to me, the number one British cheese. It may be because I don't eat meat but I have a love affair with cheese. So many kinds from all over the world but top of my list will always be Cheddar. I don't mean that waxy, mild stuff but the real mature full flavoured kind. The sort that you eat and the after taste remains for added enjoyment. I love most British cheeses and I'm always ... Read the complete review

Cheddar is a fantastic cheese originating from right here in the UK in Somerset. It is by far the most popular cheese in Britain, it alone accounts for 51% of the £1.9 billion(!!!) worth of yearly cheeses. It is a little hard and crumbly, can be pale or yellow and is made from cow's milk. Over the years other countries have tried to get in on the act, producing knock off cheddars of their own, Ireland, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and Iceland have all had a bash at it. However according to European trading standards the cheese can only be known as West Country Farmhouse Cheddari f it's been made in one of four South Western ... Read the complete review

Cheddar cheese is a widely available cheese, which originated in the town of Cheddar in Somerset. It's the most popular English cheese and accounts for 51% of sales. It is commonly identified as the English cheese by other nations because of this. There aren't many variations of cheddar cheese but you can either buy mild varieties or mature, stronger varieties. You can also get low-fat slabs and full-fat slabs - which aren't good for your cholesterol and weight if you eat too much. Cheddar cheese is usually a faint yellow colour but you can get yellow cheddar cheese too. I personally prefer the mature flavoured cheddar cheese, but don't like it when it is too ...
