It looks like plastic and it feels like plastic but it is actually cheese! (Cheese Strings - Original)

Advantages: Healthier eating for kids.

Disadvantages: Expensive and not too tasty.

Cheese strings seem like a good idea because they encourage kids to eat fun healthy snacks rather than chocolate and sweets and I suppose for that they are a good idea but in reality they are a horrid product that I have no idea how kids stomach.

My grandson had these and he asked me to help him rip the cheese string into shreds which I did for him and it felt so plastic it put me off them straight away but when my grandson asked me to have a bit I could hardly say no as I am always telling him to try things.

I bravely placed the cheese string which looked and felt like plastic into my mouth and I was glad of one thing, it did not taste like plastic but then again it did not taste much like cheese either, well not a good strong cheese anyway.

It was not unpleasant but it was certainly not great tasting either, It was like a very weak cheese spread taste rather than a Cheddar cheese or similar. Cheese strings are actually made of 100% cheese so I have no idea why they taste so weak or un-cheese like but they do.

They are not the least expensive of things either with a pack of four costing around £1.20 but if they keep the kids off of the chocolate and sweets than I guess they have to be given credit.

Summary: I guess it is each to their own but I dislike these!
