pmcds Cheese Strings - Original: ... first, Cheesestrings seemed like something that was completely pointless to me, a way of a company making more money by introducing cheese in a quirky shape and texture. Then I realised that, although this was true, it was also fun. My son really likes the appeal of being able to peel thin layers of cheese off and eat them one by one, and they really do taste nice. You can get them in various sized packets, with ...

Halloumi Halloumi
Food / Halloumi is a cheese indigenous to Cyprus, traditionally made from a mixture of goat's and sheep's milk, although some halloumi can be bought that also contains cows' milk. Siamese Aldi Be Light Plain Low Fat Cottage Cheese
... Be Light Plain Low Fat Cottage Cheese Description: Manufacturer: Aldi / Cheese. Aldi are one of those stores which keep on surprising me by being a lot better than I had expected them to be. They have a really good range of things and while some are not great, there are also some which are very good indeed. I have been trying quite a few products and this cottage cheese is one of those items which are a lot better than you might think. A 200g pot of this cottage cheese cost me just £0.48 and it comes in a plastic tub which is white and blue. There is a foil lid which peels off to keep the cheese fresh and a plastic lid. One pot contains just 160 calories and...

Siamese Boursin Cheese
... Cheese Description: Cheeses. Chances are that you have seen this cheese about, even if you haven t tried it. We really like it in our house but because it contains 120 calories and 13g of fat per serving, we do have to limit our intake! Having said that, it was Christmas and as per the tradition, cheese and crackers was on the menu, and no decent cheese board would be complete without Boursin. Does anyone else notice that the only time they eat cheese and biscuits tends to be at the festive season, or is that just me? The cheese comes in a 150g foil wrapped parcel which is sold inside a cardboard box which is white with green writing and a clove of garlic ...

song_of_calliope Gruyere
... am a big fan of cheese of all types, and one of my favourites for cooking is Gruyere! This is a smooth, hard Swiss cheese that you can buy in almost any decent-sized supermarket in the UK nowadays. It s made from cow s milk and is similar to Comte which comes from France. Gruyere is a bit more expensive than cheddar but I think it s worth it when you consider that it has an unusual and very pleasant flavour. I don t particularly like eating it raw on crackers but I have tasted it raw and find it has a strong, nutty flavour. However, I think it s really meant to be used in cooking as you don t see it served on cheese boards in restaurants very much, but you do see i...
