Cheweee Bars White Chocolate

Although Chewee bars are aimed more at children & as a lunchbox snack, I'm quite keen on these. They're tasty and a healthier alternative when you're peckish, and I thought I'd review them for those who were unsure of them because of the way they're marketed as lunchbox cereal bars. Chewee bars are made by Harvest, a company I was unfamiliar with before trying these. As I've said, they seem to be aimed at being a lunchbox snack with the front of the box designed to represent this. White Chocolate Cheweee Bars were something I decided to try a few weeks ago when I spotted a good offer in a different supermarket to my usual haunt. Their regular retail price is £1.59 in Tesco, and that's for a packet of nine bars. That works out at 18p a bar which is decent value. These bars all come individually wrapped inside the cardboard box, and are relatively small compared to standard cereal bars. They're only 22g each, which is a few grams less than average. Most cereal bars try to be healthy, but have a nasty taste and are usually quite dry. These, on the other hand, are very nice, packed with flavour and chewy. However, they are quite small and not very filling. The packaging is quite nice, with clear text that is easy to read. They are very easy to open, and are always fresh. However, the packaging is always sticky on the inside, so the mess starts before you even begin. Don't be fooled (As I was) by the packet of this cereal bar. They are incredibly titchy, and once you bite into one you become rather glad they are. Visually, they don't look all that appealing. Like a standard cereal bar but interspersed with white chocolate chips and oddly, some weird rice krispie style puffs of cereal which, when one comes across one ina mouthfull, taste stale and unpleasant. These cereal bars are fantastic! I found these in ASDA for £1 for a pack of 9, so thought i'd give them a try. They are so cheap compared to other cereal bars such as alpen or nutrigain. I personally think cheweee cereal bars are a lot nicer than other brands aswell. They are a reasonable size and great as a mid morning snack. You can get these cereal bars in white choc chip, milk choc chip or toffee. White chocolate are definately the nicest! They come in nice bright boxes and are wrapped seperately inside.
