Advantages: Everything they are lush

Disadvantages: None of course

Chicago Town pizzas are amongst the finest pizzas you can buy!! They can be found in the frozen foods section. They are free from artificial colours and free from artificial flavours, which is of coursea bonus.

They come in 2 types, mini individual pizzas and larger pizzas suitable for two to three people.

Varieties include four cheese, pepperoni and meat feast.

Packaging=
Square, deep black box easily identifiable with big picture, also ingredients list and comprehensive cooking instructions. Pizza inside is sort of shrink wrapped in plastic.

Appearance=
Not a typical base pizza, as the base on Chicago style pizzas comes up sort of like a pie with no lid. Well topped, with topping evenly spread out although if these have become shaken in transit they just need a reshuffle to make it all even again.

Cooking=
Keep frozen until ready to cook. These are guidelines only. For best results, oven cook. DO NOT USE DISC IN CONVENTIONAL OVENS.
Oven cook - Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F / Gas Mark 5. Remove your pizza from all packaging, discard the cardboard disc and place directly onto oven shelf. Bake for 20-22 minutes at the top of the oven. Check your pizza is hot throughout before serving and that the cheese is melted and lightly browned. This is for the mini pizzas, larger will take a few extra minutes.

Microwave - Remove your pizza from all packaging. Place microwave disc, silver side up on a microwave-safe dinner place. Place your pizza on silver side of disc. 750W or D. Heat on full for: 3 1/2 mins. Stand for: 1 min. 800W or E. Heat on full for: 3 mins. Stand for: 1 min. Again this only applies to mini pizzas larger family ones are oven only!

Taste=
Crunchy base underneath and lovely crunchy heightened edge crust. Plenty of cheese and a lovely sauce. Ingredients and toppings are really nice, have tried them all and found them all to be extremely tasty. Cheese is good, not at all sickly.

Price=
You can sometimes grab these on offer, priced very reasonably, the little ones can be purchased for apack of 2 about £2 and larger ones going towards £3. Price is justified for a great pizza which does not scrimp on ingredients or quality so it seems!!

Summary=
Grab some, cos you will love them, and so will the family!!

What is 'Chicago Style' pizza?

Chicago-style pizza is a deep-dish pizza style developed in Chicago. Chicago-style pizza has a buttery crust up to three inches tall at the edge, slightly higher than the large amounts of cheese and chunky tomato sauce, acting as a large bowl. The term also refers to "stuffed" pizza, another Chicago style. While in Chicago most pizzerias serve thin-crust pizza, generally in a style characteristic to the city, the term Chicago-style pizza is used to describe this deep-dish style of pizza.
