Advantages: Take just 3 mins to cook and taste great
Disadvantages: Very unhealthy
Being on a bit of a budget with the old food shopping at the moment I find myself purchasing lost of offers and most recently I found packs of Chicago Town Pizzas for £1 each so I grab a few boxes to stick in my freezer.
I was introduced to these pizzas years ago, me and my mate had a very heavy night and got up quite late the next day with the munchies so she stuck a couple of these in the microwave, I had never seen them before and thought it was very weird to be microwaving pizzas.
Packaging
The pizzas come in black rectangular boxes with a picture of which ever flavor you are purchasing on the front and the Chicago Town Deep Dish logo appears in the top left. There are two pizzas in every box and each pizza is individually wrapped so you don't have to eat both at the same time, you can keep one in your freezer for later.
Flavors
These come in four different flavors - Pepperoni, Four Cheese, Ham and Pineapple and Meat Combo. My favorite is the Pepperoni and my partner loves the four Cheese.
Cooking
Well there are two ways to cook these, you can either stick them in the microwave for 3 minutes at 850w or you can put them in the over at 190c for 20 - 22 minutes. I find cooking them in the over tends to make the base crispy which I'm not over keen on where as putting them in the microwave makes them nice and soggy which I love.
Price
As I mentioned earlier sometimes you can get these for £1 a box (Iceland) but mostly they tend to be around £1.80 a box although Tesco do run special offers on these quite a lot - buy any two boxes for £3.
Taste
These are deep dish pizzas so have loads of filling in them, the tomato sauce is quite thick so you never have the problem of eating dry pastry, the pepperoni and meat combo are a little spicy so if your not a fan then best to stick to the other flavors. As I said I love them cooked in the microwave as it makes them go soggy which I find make them taste even better.
The tomato sauce is nice a rich and adds a lovely flavor to the pizzas, the pepperoni has ample meat on it and a nice topping of Mozzarella cheese (this is by far my favorite), the four cheese has masses of cheese on it (unlike other pizzas), these are Mozzarella, Mature Cheddar, Monterey Jack and Emmental cheeses and they give the pizza a lovely flavor.
The ham and pineapple has smoke flavored ham, pineapple and Mozzarella cheese, I'm not a big fan of this one as I'm not over keen on pineapple, my other half like it though, again it is full to the brim with tomato sauce, ham, cheese and pineapple.
Finally you have the meat combo which has the following on, spicy beef, pepperoni, smoke flavored Ham and topped with Mozzarella cheese. I picked this one up once by mistake as I thought it was the pepperoni one, I enjoyed eating it although it was a lot spicier than the pepperoni so I may not purchase this one again, I like hot food but not so sure of a hot pizza.
Nutritional Info
The pizzas vary in calories, the pepperoni has 462, the cheese has 432, the ham and pineapple has 398 and the meat combo has 434.
Average contents (per serving)

The pizzas have No Artificial Colours, No Artificial Flavors and No Hydrogenated Fat. They do contain Gluten, Milk and Wheat.
Considering the size of these pizzas they are very unhealthy but they taste so good I just can resist them.
I think these pizzas are by far the nicest ones available, they are not over expensive (especially if you get them on offer), I would recommend these to any of my family and friends.
Summary: A great tasting pizza that I recommend to all of my family and friends
