Advantages: looks nice

Disadvantages: tastes horrible

I love chocolate. Plain, milk, white, fruity, nutty - I'm not fussy. But I've finally found a brand of chocolate I can't stomach - Cadbury's Dream.

This is a new chocolate bar which Cadbury's have brought out, and it consists of six small chunks of white chocolate. I've been eyeing it up on the supermarket shelf a few times, and I finally gave in and bought one this lunchtime. I wish I hadn't bothered....

**** PACKAGING

It looks lovely. A light blue wrapper with white swirls all over it, and a tempting square of white chocolate looking all luscious and creamy. It looks like a bar you could curl up on the sofa with. A bar to relax with - a treat.

**** TASTE AND TEXTURE

The first square didn't seem too bad at first, but it rapidly lost any appeal it initially had. It's creamy, but it's also incredibly sweet. It tastes like they've overloaded it with sugar and artificial sweeteners. It's miles sweeter than other types of white chocolate such as Milky Bar and white Toblerone.

By the second square I was starting to feel distinctly nauseous, and I'm afraid I didn't make it to the third. I passed the remainder around the office, but the brave colleagues who tried it despite my warnings didn't find it to their taste either.

**** MELTABILITY

Another minus point for this bar is that it melted extremely quickly. I bought this and a bar of Dairy Milk from the local newsagents, but by the time I got back to the office, the Dream was going soft and squishy, whereas the Dairy Milk was still quite firm and edible. I had to put the Dream in the fridge for twenty minutes before I could try it. Not good.

**** PRICE

It cost 35p, just about acceptable for a bar this size. I was, however, puzzled by the amount of chocolate you get for so many calories - it's much smaller than a Dairy Milk, but weighs in at a wh
opping 250 calories per bar. Must be all the sugar they've crammed in!

**** VERDICT

I won't be buying this again. There are far nicer choccie bars for me to spend my hard earned cash on! Too sweet, too samey, distinctly unimpressive. A definite thumbs down from me.

In total agreement, here. It's way too sweet and sickly. White chocolate isn't my favourite, anyway, but I'll be avoiding this one like the plague.

Just one mouthful of the Cadbury's Snowflake is enough to make me wanna throw [up] the rest away. Won't even bother going anywhere near this one.
Nice op

Lisa :)
