I?ve never been one to write about chocolate bars, I?ve never really seen the point, food stuffs maybe, like a nice frozen ready meal?.but I thought I just had to tell you about these delicious Smarties chocolate bars which I tried for the first time today. There they were, right in front of me, tempting me to buy them, yes, these little chocolate bars, and larger ones if your so inclined. All I wanted was a packet of fags, but I ended up coming out of the shop with a smarties bar too (cunning how they put these things right next to you and then make you wait behind the rude person who decides to pay for stuff with a credit card, giving you longer for the devil inside you to play tricks with your mind). Costing 49p for a small bar of chocolate, I thought these had better be good! Got back to the office and gave it a try. I?m not a delicate person, I didn?t peel the wrapper back to reveal a small hint of chocolate, no, I just ripped the wrapper off a bit off a section of the chocolate, munched away, got it down me neck and then decided I would actually taste the next section. On closer inspection, I realised that I could see ickle smartie bits pocking their way through the top of the chocolate, oh yummy, I just had to hesitate gobbling the next one and took a bite of half the section, not something I would normally do! Inside each section of chocolate, which is basically the same as any other sectioned chocolate bars (dairy milk, yorkie etc) you have small smartie pieces. This makes the chocolate bar not only taste nice, but also gives it a somewhat different texture. The closest thing that I can relate it to is one of those Nestle Crunch bars in texture. However, the taste is something else. This chocolate tastes like your classic Easter Egg chocolate, or Advent calendar chocolate, you know the stuff I?m on about, it always tastes different, and I love that kind of chocolate, so this bar was a hit with me! I wouldn?t sa
y that you can actually taste each smartie, it?s more you know they are in there, but it just adds something to a normal bar of chocolate to me when you come across something that?s crunchy, adds a different texture, and isn?t a damn nut! Highly recommended by me, though I doubt I will be buying another one any time soon at the rip-off price of 49p in my local spar!
