I'd love to pretend I'm some wicked cool Candy Raver buying these to stop my jaw clenching from the all-night partying I'm doing. Second best, I could claim that I buy these because they're a design icon, the logo having been created by Salvador Dali. Or I could claim that I like these because they're actually a health food in disguise (the Chupa Chups website contains the slightly bizarre claim that sucking "stimulates your immune system" by "increasing the flow of oxygen", news that will no doubt gladden the hearts of men everywhere). The sad but inescapable reality, though, is that I'm just a sad kidult who hasn't put penny sweets ... Read the complete review

So I'm walking down the aisle of Woolworths and I'm passing by the pick'n' mix section, eyeing up the Turkish Delight and the mint humbugs, I'm about to "consider" what I am allowed as Weight Watchers points these days sometimes limit you to what you can and what you can't have, and if say a bag of sweeties tips the scales at maybe 20 to 25 points, I can kiss goodbye my healthy three meals a day routine and bask on a bag of sweets instead. I consider the mint humbugs and I'm about to stick my hand into the jar to grab the scooper when I hear a familiar voice. There in the corner of my eye is one of the children who belong to the local Weight ... Read the complete review

My earliest memories of these lollipops is seeing them all the time in the chemists, which gave me the somewhat misguided idea that they were some kind of medicine. These lollies are small, hard, round candy lollipops that come in a range of flavours. They cost around 20-25p, and have been going for years and years. If you think about it, there aren't really that many lollipops out there in the market, and these certainly are the best I know of. The odd name 'cremosa' basically conjures up images of strawberries and cream, so I was looking forward to eating it. The wrapper is so tight and twisted, it's hard to unwrap, and takes a lot of picking and ... Read the complete review

Chupa chups are probably the most popular and well known lollipop brand that I know of. The lollipops come in all sorts of weird and wonderful flavours and you can buy them individually for around 20p or for £2 you can get a bag of around 15-20. You can pick these up fro just about any supermarket or local store and they will usually be in a twirly stand trying to tempt you at the checkouts. The lollipops don't particularly smell of anything and they definitely aren't a perfect circle like other lollipops. They are very mis-shapen and isn't smooth to the touch. The bottom half of the circle is slightly bigger than the top too. When first put these ... Read the complete review

When I am at work, I have a terrible habit of eating sweets. This doesn't happen at home as I am fully occupied, but at work when I am typing or concentrating on a document, I am always delving into a bag of something (usually malteasers). Aswell as the guilt of the extra calories, I was also worried about my teeth, so I started to look around for some sugar free sweets. I came across the Chupa Chups website which gives lots of information about the various types of lollies that they make, some of which are sugar free, low in fat and carbohydrates. The Cremosa brand were sugar free so when I next passed the newsagents I purchased a "Strawberry and ... Read the complete review
