Advantages: taste
Disadvantages: shards of glass effect
My earliest memories of these lollipops is seeing them all the time in the chemists, which gave me the somewhat misguided idea that they were some kind of medicine.
These lollies are small, hard, round candy lollipops that come in a range of flavours. They cost around 20-25p, and have been going for years and years. If you think about it, there aren't really that many lollipops out there in the market, and these certainly are the best I know of.
The odd name 'cremosa' basically conjures up images of strawberries and cream, so I was looking forward to eating it. The wrapper is so tight and twisted, it's hard to unwrap, and takes a lot of picking and tearing to get the job done.
They're sugar-free, which is nice to know, particularly as it's very easy to eat a few in a row.
To eat, I tend to suck them for a good while. They're very hard, so tough to bite, but I always end up crunching them in the end, which leaves a plethora of glass like shards in my mouth, and makes it prone to cutting.
Taste-wise, they're creamy and smooth. Yes, they're sweet, but it's not overpowering sweet. The main taste is a slightly fruity cream taste, with just a touch of the plastic wrapper flavour thrown into the mix.
They're very hard, and the lolly can come off the stick, so I don't recommend them to young kids.
All in all, a nice lolly with a refreshing and very tempting flavour.
Summary: do it
