I love cooking and making nice meals for me and my husband, but to be honest I don't have the skill to make some things completely from scratch, but I don't like buying tins and jars of chilli all the time as I like to know whats going into the food I'm eating. So we always buy these mixes, which is basically the chilli powder and spices and seasoning in a packet, nothing else, but it makes it much easier to make a nice meal if you maybe don't know how to get the mix of ingredients right to get that chilli taste which is the problem I have! I had a packet of this mix lurking in the back of my groceries cupboard and whilst I usually make chilli from scratch as its relatively simple, I was about to rush out of the house for work and had had it sprung on me that we had guests for dinner that night. Knowing I would not have time to whip anything much up between getting in from work and their arrival I was joyous to notice the little symbol on the back of the packet which said 'Slow Cooker Friendly'. It's hot, but it's still chilly (Chilli Con Carne that is!) Bring the taste of Mexico to your kitchen with Colman's Chilli Con Carne mix. Colman's of Norwich are probably most famous for their mustard in the little yellow jars. It was founded in 1814 and is one of the oldest existing food brands. Colman's is now owned by Unilever. As well as their mustard Colman's also produce a range of great sauce and recipe mixes which making cooking very easy.
