I love cooking and making nice meals for me and my husband, but to be honest I don't have the skill to make some things completely from scratch, but I don't like buying tins and jars of chilli all the time as I like to know whats going into the food I'm eating. I had a packet of this mix lurking in the back of my groceries cupboard and whilst I usually make chilli from scratch as its relatively simple, I was about to rush out of the house for work and had had it sprung on me that we had guests for dinner that night. Knowing I would not have time to whip anything much up between getting in from work and their arrival I was joyous to notice the little symbol on the back of the packet which said 'Slow Cooker Friendly'.
