Custard creams craw fords
These biscuits have been around as long as I can remember and even longer and that's a long, long time.
Craw fords custard creams are made by united biscuits.
These biscuits seem to be available at most supermarkets and convenience stores. They cost around 59p for a 150g pack.
The packaging a yellow /orange colour with the Crawford red emblem on it.
Custard creams are a very popular biscuit they are the ones which often are on offer with a cup of tea at meetings.
The Crawfords custard cream is a slightly more rectangular than square biscuit. The biscuit is a light golden brown. It is easily recognised by the design imprinted on it. In the centre it says custard cream this has a diamond shape piped around it .The rest of the biscuit has baroque markings lots of swirls these represent ferns which were popular in Victorian times.
The custard cream is a sandwich biscuit 2 biscuits that are sandwiched together with yes custard cream. The biscuit is good texture firm but not tooth breaking hard it has a light flavour slightly vanilla I think its buttery not too crumbly. The butter cream layer is vanilla flavoured. It is a good lightly flavoured biscuit goes well with any drink. Yes it id dunkable does not fall to pieces immediately.
One biscuit weighs 11g and has 11 calories 2.7g fat so maybe just one is not too drastic for that diet.
Would I recommend ? yes of course I would
Summary: A vanilla cream sandwich biscuit
