I like to have this on toast now that I am an adult (I hesitate to say a grown up!) which tastes great. It sort of melts into the toast and really works well. It is also delicious on a baked potato, or used as a quick and simple pasta sauce (just stir in to cooked pasta with some chopped ham and mushrooms) One portion contains 34 kcals, 1.3 grams sugar, 1.6 grams of fat, 0.5 grams salt. Premium Review Dairylea Cheese Spread: Sticky, gluelike substance that pretends to be cheese. (354 words)

Dairy Lea Cheese Spread is not one of my favourites. However, kids seem to love it and it's packed full of calcium and vitamin D. The brand name has been around since 'Adam was a lad', as the saying goes and only the design of the packaging seems to have changed. This product now comes in the original cheese triangle shapes and in a plastic tub. The triangles come in a pack of six and they are wrapped individually in foil. The circular, flat box with its brightly coloured exterior is very attractive packaging and makes it easy to find on the supermarket shelves. This isn't cheese as I prefer it. It's soft, sticky, gloopy stuff that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tasty but not the best (162 words)

This is a cheese you can spread. I like this kind of cheeses and I use them to prepare sandwiches. Each portion is for 25 grams and it gives you 37 calories per 25g. They say that one intake of 25 gramms of this cheese will cover for 1/3 of the recommended intake of Calcium per day. Be aware that too much calcium is not recommended to people who suffer from migraines and depression. I got mine (cheese, not depression) from my local shop for 89 pennies. I am sure you can find it cheaper at Tesco. My favourite in this kind of cheeses is La Vache qui rie, but I like this cheese as well, because it does not taste too ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dairylea Cheese Spread: dairylea goodness (177 words)

Dairylea cheese spread has been a favorite of mine since I was very young, it is available in round cardboard boxes which contain 6 little foil wrapped triangles of cheese or in plastic tub with a lid. Dairylea cheese spread contains a lot of milk and also a lot of calcium which is good for all of us but especially for children as it helps with bones and teeth. The cheese it self is realy soft and spreads streight from the fridge, it has the same concistency as butter so spreads very easily. It is very creamy and smooth with a lovely creamy cheese taste which is strong but not sharp. I like this on toast as it almost melts into the toast ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review So Spreadable !! (391 words)

My mum always used to give me cheese spread sarnies when I was in junior school it was convenient and quick to prepare. One of the many cheeses she gave me was Dairylea Cheese Spread and I've loved it ever since. Dairylea comes in round plastic pots either the smaller 200g tubs or larger ones. The smaller tubs are roughly £1.35 and the larger are usually over £2. The pots they come in are quite fun and attractive being a lovely sky blue colour with a cow holding a cheese covered cracker. Dairylea swoops along the top of the tub and Kraft is written above this. You are told that it is cheese spread on the flip off lid also. Dairylea spread is made with Cheese ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dairylea Cheese Spread: One For The Kids? (569 words)

Whether you are five or fifty five Dairylea cheese spread has certainly got appeal. We both love the soft rich creamy texture of Dairylea. So often you are looking for a sandwich filling, something for a change and Dairylea fits the bill perfectly. I really enjoy the taste of Primula cheese spread but at around £1.20 for a smallish tube it works out far more expensive than Dairylea, but Primula do make the tastiest cheese and chive spread. Up until quite a while ago I used to purchase Lidl`s cheese spread triangles, I am sure the circular box held 24 thick cream cheese triangles that used to cost £1.30, Lidl must have decided that they were worth far more and ...  Read the complete review
