Advantages: Nice tasting and full of calcium.

Disadvantages: Quite high in calories and fat.

I do not eat a lot of cheese but when I do have a bit I am not too picky about which kind of cheese I have and I think this is a necessity if you are going to enjoy Dairylea spreading cheese.

My hubby is a true cheese lover as is my daughter and neither of them will go near Dairylea spreading cheese where as me and my grandkids love it.

It may not be a traditional cheese but it does have a nice cheesy taste despite being only actually 41% real cheese, and it is packed full of calcium and vitamin D so I see no reason for not giving it to the kids.

You can buy tubs of this or you can get it in the traditional individually sealed triangles that it became famous for, it makes more sense financially to buy the tubs but for freshness the triangles win every time.

Each triangle contains 34 calories and 1.6g of fat if you use the light version but the full fat version has 68 calories and 5.5g of fat per triangle, as with everything thought he full fat version tastes much better so I use that but I do sometimes get the light version for my grandkids.

The price varies too much to list it but I regularly get 16 triangles from Asda for £1 when they are on offer this is almost a 50% saving so great value.

Summary: Recommended but probably not for real cheese lovers!
