My mum always used to give me cheese spread sarnies when I was in junior school it was convenient and quick to prepare. One of the many cheeses she gave me was Dairylea Cheese Spread and I've loved it ever since.
Dairylea comes in round plastic pots either the smaller 200g tubs or larger ones. The smaller tubs are roughly £1.35 and the larger are usually over £2. The pots they come in are quite fun and attractive being a lovely sky blue colour with a cow holding a cheese covered cracker. Dairylea swoops along the top of the tub and Kraft is written above this. You are told that it is cheese spread on the flip off lid also. Dairylea spread is made with Cheese and Milk.

Dairy lea has a pale and smooth appearance and is very soft and smooth to dip your knife into. It doesnt have much of a smell to be honest yet it does taste quite cheesy, more so than other 'cheese' spreads I have tried.
It is very easy to spread and is a very versatile cheese it can be spread on most things such as bagels, toast, sarnies and crackers and even added to food dishes such as pasta. It is a quite enjoyable spread on toast as it almost melts into the warm bread and sinks in stunningly and my favourite thing to spread it on is Jacobs crackers.
It is a very thick and creamy cheese, yet the soft smoothness remains no matter what you use it for.
Dairylea is a very mild cheese but is delicious nonetheless and goes with almost anything. Although it doesn't hold much 'flavour' I find it actually has a bit more taste than Philadelphia, which although I do enjoy philadelphia if I'm honest it is tasteless!
You can even by Dairylea in triangles, packed tightly in a foil wrapper making them even more fun than these circle pots for children and again providing them with Calcium and their Vitamin D which Dairylea is packed with!
