I wanted a quick something to eat the other day and wasn't sure what but I opted for a Chicken and Cheese lunchable from Dairylea. I'm a great fan of Dairylea products anyway they have never failed to impress me but these have I'm afraid. The idea behind them is good, convenient snacking, fun lunchboxes etc but what's inside them is a real disapointment in my opinion. Lunchables come in square plastic trays split into sections, you have a larger section for the crackers, the two smaller sections contain the Cheese and the Chicken. I decided to buy this for my lunch one day after seeing a pack on offer in a local supermarket. I like dairylea, like crackers and I guessed a bit of chicken wouldn't go amiss. Opening the pack, I found 10 little buttery tasting rich savoury crackers (about the size of ritz crackers) all lined up in one section of the container with two other segments. One contained a pile of small sliced of Dairylea cheese (not the spreadable cheese, the harder cheese similar to a cheese slice) and the other segment contained a small pile of chicken slices- the sort of processed chicken slices you see for sale in supermarkets, like "Chicken roll". Dairylea Lunchables Chicken/Cheese are something that I enjoy for lunch occasionally and although it's mainly designed for little ones I always find it catches my eye on the supermarket shelf. I am always very pleased with how filling these actually are and when I see them on offer I'll always buy a few as they keep for a good few weeks. A Lunchables pot is a plastic tray with three sections, half of the pot contains 10 or 11 white & wholegrain crackers, quarter of the pot contains chicken slices and there are around 20 slices of chicken as well as one final quarter of the pot that contains Dairylea slices and there is usually 10 of these.
