Danone is a Belgium company formed in the early 1900's. It is not till 1999 that we see Danone yogurts in our shops though. I frequently choose the Danone activia yoghurts for my lunch packs. One of the flavours that I like and have recently eaten is the low fat cherry I bought some today Price £1.53 at Tesco for pack of 4 , that's 8 yoghurts as it a 2 for 1 offer on offer till 25th March that's tomorrow. This is a 0% fat yoghurt so an ideal choice for my rounded tummy. There are 72 calories in a pot with 125grams of yoghurt in it. Open the foil lid from the plastic pot and the yoghurt looks thick and creamy it is a cherry red colour ... Read the complete review

In order to beat the bloat I've been trying various different products which I thought might have helped me. One brand I've been sampling in the past few months is Activia! One of the products I've been "lucky" enough to sample is the fat free cherry yoghurts. This can be found in all supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco. We tend to buy ours from Tesco now though but this is simply because it is closest to us! They can be found in the yoghurt aisle alongside the yoghurts such as Muller Light and Shape. They are on the middle shelf in my local Tesco so I assume they will be in the same place in every one but its worth having a little ... Read the complete review

Danone Activia come in a range of lovely flavours, mainly typically fruity yoghurt flavours. This review is about the cherry variety. Not my absolute favourite Activia yoghurt but still very tasty! TASTE I find that live yoghurts have a slightly dry taste on my tongue. They are not as creamy as non-live yoghurts. This is apparently because of the cultures in them. They are still tasty though. The first time I tried them, the dryness put me off but by the end of the four pots, I was converted! They are extremely fruity, with lots of big chunks of cherries in them. I love these bits but I know as a child I hated yoghurt with any hint of texture at ... Read the complete review

I am not a big yoghurt eater, mainly because seem to be (whenever I read the ingredients) pretty much all full of sugar and/or fat. That, and the fact that I do not have a particularly sweet tooth. However there is nothing like being told to cut down (even further) on ones sugar and fat content to make one want some! So in the Co-op today I saw these Activia fat free cherry yoghurts and idlly picked one up to look at whilst my wife was deciding which type of Pitta bread she wanted for our lunch....what an exciting life we lead! I was pleasantly surprised to see that the 'sugar' content was fructose, or fruit sugar, so much better for me as a ... Read the complete review

I've gone on a bit of a diet recently, and for my lunch I tend to have a salad or soup and a yoghurt to fill me up. Like most people I have seen the Danone Activia adverts on tv, but as I don't suffer from bloating, trapped wind, or any of the other digestive complaints mentioned, I've never given them a go. This week the 4 pack of yoghurts were on offer for 2 packs for £3. reading closer I've since realised this isn't such a great offer as they are usually £1.58 a pack, still you live and learn! The cherry yoghurt comes in either a 4 pack of just cherry, or a mixed 4 or 8 pack. Each yoghurt is 125g, which I think is the right size to fill me up, ... Read the complete review
