Advantages: Nice taste, on offer, easily found, attractive packaging

Disadvantages: Calorie and fat content aren't very low

In order to beat the bloat I've been trying various different products which I thought might have helped me. One brand I've been sampling in the past few months is Activia! One of the products I've been "lucky" enough to sample is the strawberry yoghurt.

This can be found in all supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco. We tend to buy ours from Tesco now though but this is simply because it is closest to us! They can be found in the yoghurt aisle alongside the yoghurts such as Muller Light and Shape. They are on the middle shelf in my local Tesco so I assume they will be in the same place in every one but its worth having a little look about.

They come in packets of 4, and each yoghurt weighs 125g. This isn't a huge amount of yoghurt but it is pretty average for the dairy treat! The 4 pack costs £1.56 however at the moment there is an offer on and you can get two packets for £3. This is only a saving of 12p however if you are really money conscious its as well to take advantage of it.

The 4 yoghurts come held together in a cardboard outer packaging. The packaging is a green colour which reminds me of luscious fresh green grass. This adds to the natural feeling of the product. On the cardboard packaging there is lots of product information as well as some delicious little pictures of juicy looking strawberries! The packaging does have a very natural feel to it and probably would appeal to those on a diet.

The pots are made of plastic and follow the same pattern as the outer cardboard packet. The lid is made of a special foil which seems different to other yoghurts. It peels back really easily and doesn't spray you with too much yoghurt, in fact none at all. There is some yoghurt on the lid so you need to scrape it off but this is not a problem. The yoghurt is a nice pale pink in colour however there are darker bits of red through it! Damn! I hate bitty yoghurts. There Is no real smell coming from the yoghurt, only the slight sweetness of fruit!

The yoghurt required just a little mix before sampling. It thickened up very well. The first thing I sensed was the intense fruity taste. It wasn't overly creamy but instead very sweet! The texture was quite smooth except the gritty pieces of strawberries. There were definitely lots of seeds in the yoghurt too which got caught in my teeth a lot! Overall the taste of the yoghurt was pleasant but I personally prefer the Muller version. It didn't really help my bloating at all!

One 125g yoghurt contains 124 calories and 4g of fat. Personally I don't feel this is very good for a yoghurt but I have to bear in mind that this is not a special dietary or low fat yoghurt!
They are worth a try especially when found on offer.
