      Yum!

As someone who doesn't consume a lot of meat when I do, of late I have been eating decent quality stuff in my opinion. I spotted these in Tesco costing £2.00 for a pack of 6 of them and decided to give them a whirl! The Packaging: Black plastic oblong tray with a clear plastic covering that pulls off with ease and over that there is a back sleeve with a picture of wellington boots on it and on the front I am told that they are Debbie & Andrews Garden Herb, 97% Pork Sausages 'Fresh really lean pork shoulder...delicately flavoured with parsley and chives - simply delicious' and that they are a British product and the best before date is clearly stamped on as is the weight of the 6 sausages which is 400g and I am also told that they are wheat free, gluten free and dairy free. On the back of the sleeve other information given includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients and allergy advice is listed as is storage advice given (these are freezable by the way), cooking instructions are also stated along with a nutritional chart and contact details for Debbie & Andrews are listed too. Nice simple and very well laid out information is given on this and it looks a well packaged and is an informative product. The Sausage: Fattish and pink, you can see the herbs within these. Made on a Yorkshire farm with pork shoulder and no fat these taste like pure meat. We are advised on the packaging to grill them but I have not only grilled these, I have also fried them and had them done on a BBQ and any way these have been cooked I have enjoyed! They taste great and are a meaty delight really. Made from 97% pork they really do taste exceptionally good. I like the way they are slightly seasoned and have a delicate flavour of chives and parsley to them which tastes fresh opposed to dry or anything and they really do taste of pork. Cooking them is easy though do though watch out they are a dry sausage and don't leak grease at all. They smell great, look great when cooked and above all taste of pure quality. You sometimes get what you pay for and with these that is certainly the case! Nutritional Information Per Sausage: Energy: 117 Kcal Protein: 11.8g Carbohydrate: 0.11g of which sugars: 0.28g Fat: 7.6g of which saturates:2.8g Fibre: 1.0g Sodium: 0.2g equivalent as salt: 0.6g Available in all good supermarkets etc and expect to pay about £3.00 a pack for these unless you find them on offer like I did!
