... sleeve with a picture of wellies at a battered country style door at the top, and the brand 'Debbie and Andrews Harrogate 97% Pork Sausages' Written underneath. Really eye catching on the shelf in my opinion. Look like a quality product. It also tells you they are 'fresh really lean pork shoulder, well seasoned, with a dash of balsamic vinegar-spot on' So what are they like. I always bake my sausages in the oven. I work as a chef now and again at a gastro pub, and thats how we cook them to get a lovely even colour...more

Premium Review Debbie & Andrews Perfect Port Sausages: Debbie and Andrew Harrogate 97% pork sausages (423 words)

Please note, I am reviewing Debbie and Andrews 97% Harrogate Sausages. I originally bought these sausages on special offer from Tesco at 3 for £6.00 They cost £2.39 currently instore. Not cheap at all, but read on. I was drawn to these as I am not a fan of grisel or fat in meat or meat products. Not one to chomp on a chop, I cut ALL the fat off my bacon etc. So the fact that these sausages are 97% pork shoulder I was really keen to give them a go. The packaging. They come in 6's in a fairly standard posh sausage tray and are 3 quarters covered in an attractive cardboard matt finish sleeve with a picture of wellies at a battered ...  Read the complete review

This is a new brand of sausage. I'll start by saying I'm really fussy when it comes to sausages I'm always aware that the higher the meat content the better quality the sausage, in this case it's 76% pork shoulder. They come nicely packaged in a tray which is wrapped in a recyclable FSC cardboard cover with a picture of wellies against a door hinting the rural look. It says on the carton 'All farms are personally approved by Debbie & Andrew' (which I find funny cos my cousin and his wife are Debbie & Andrew!) They are a Yorkshire couple so that's fine by me being a Yorkshire lass. On the rear of the box it states: ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Debbie & Andrews Perfect Port Sausages: Fab Tasting Snag! (328 words)

My other half and I discovered this fantastic brand of sausages a couple of years ago at one of the country shows we like to visit. Never have we had such a great tasting, low fat, greaseless sausage! We became hooked on these and now we try and stock up the freezer with the sausages whenever we can. They make a variety including basic pork, one with Colman's mustard, one with Ale and a tasty and spicy Sicilian and a good old breakfast sausage. They are crammed full of meat, don't tend to split and there is hardly any fat that comes out of them. In fact if you decide to fry them, you may have to add a little oil or something to get them ...  Read the complete review

Great Bangers (165 words)

This morning I tried Debbie & Andrews Perfect Pork Sausages for the first time. They were absolutely superb, meaty without being over chewy, moist without the usual dribble of excess fat. They fried perfectly, devoid of the goo which we have recently come to expect and the skins remained intact so that their appearance on my plate gave my appetite a real edge. You may well ask why am I waxing so lyrical over a humble sausage so I will explain. Some seventy years ago I was introduced to a fantastic pork sausage made by the late, great, Edgar Parry of Abergavenny. Ever since then I have tried thousands of these meaty links from all parts of Great Britain. ...  Read the complete review

I first found Debbie & Andrews sausages at the food show in London. We go every year and it is great to try new products that are coming onto the market that under normal shopping circumstances you probably would just pass. These are now our favourite sausages. You can really tell that they are made with quality products. They cook really well and you do not end up with a frying pan full of white salty water. They originate from Yorkshire and one of the main supermarkets to stock them are Morrisons, although Asda and other shops are now beginning to stock them as well. They come in 7 varieties:- Perfect Pork Great Yorkshire ...  Read the complete review
