Advantages: Tasty, can add anything
Disadvantages: can be expensive, dry up quickly
These are great if you are having fajitas for dinner.
They are round flat floury doughy things, they are quite wide but when folded can become quite small, although they do fill you up.
Fill with red and yellow peppers fried with onion and some spices. Add some lettuce, cheese and guacamole. If your a meat eater add chicken to this mixture.
The tortillas need to be microwaved for about a minute per four tortillas. They are loads nicer when warm and become softer.
Another use for these tortillas is an alternative to sandwiches. The best ones for these are the garlic and herb flavoured version. Add tuna mayonnaise, lettuce and chopped cucumber and fold into a rectangle. This is so tasty and makes a change to boring slices of bread. My dad used to make these for us for our lunch for school, and they were very nice and I could have done with 2 to eat!
If you dont keep the packet closed these dry up overnight, Its best to keep the packet closed until you need them, as once opened the tortillas can start becoming dry.
These are quite healthy, and make a smaller meal more filling. They also allow you to eat with your hands and a sort of pick and mix feel as you can add anything you want to them really.
These are often on buy one get one free in Morrisons, and they can be frozen so its worth buying when they are on special offer.
Summary: I love them

- 07/04/09 I make wraps with these for work with salsa, chicken and some salad, very tasty and pretty healthy too. They do go stale very quickly if you arent careful with them though. |

- 06/04/09 I use them instead of sandwiches for work sometimes but I do end up throwing some out because they get too dry after opening. Good review :-) |
