For complicted reasons that to be honest, I do not
fully comprehend, there are advantages to having
chocolate with air in it. If you have some air in
your chocolate, you actually get more of that
pleasant buzz that we chocaholics get from tucking
into our favourite vice. It improves the
flavour.(Apparently you can do degrees in
materials science and specialise in chocolate
science - I wish someone had told me this when I
was younger!)

There are quite a few bars that have air bubbles
in, and having tried most of them, I would agree
that you do get a slightly better effect for your
money. The problem is that with all the holes in,
you can actually end up with little chocolate for
your money - take Aeros for example. You can also
end up with something far too fragile that
crumbles away and you get half of it on the floor!
(I hate flakes for this reason) The Twirl is a
good compromise - you get your flakey air rich bit
on the inside, and a nice layer of chocolate
around the outside to hold it all together. You
get a good amount of chocolate as well.

The Twirl comes in two sticks - ideal if you want
to be romantic and share, or if you wa
nt to ration
yourself. Ideal for smaller people with smaller
mouths. (the only trouble is, what do you do with
the second stick while you are eating the first
one?)

I am not terribly brand loyal where chocolate is
concerend - I like to try new things, and
sometimes a bar of just chocolate seems a bit much
(all that chocolate can be a bit sickly sometimes,
especially if you have been drinking beer!) If you
want just chocolate, this is one of my prefered
options - the chocolate itself is just right - not
too bitter, and not too sweet - some bars, like
Yorkies have far too much milk and sugar in them
and not nearly enough chocolate.

I give this product a thumbs up. Just a shame that
all the really nice things are bad for you. (Note
however that chocolate is a source of iron, so for
women with periods, it does have some uses - a
good justification if you ever need one.)
