I love pasta and I like to try out different sauces. I like to make my own and I also enjoy the bought ones as they are so quick and easy. I decided to write about Creamy Tomato Dolmio Pasta Bake after enjoying it for my dinner yesterday. So, I started by doing a bit of research online, looking for the history of the company etc. To my dismay I couldn't find much, only that it is by Al Dolmio and is a brand which is manufactured by Mars, made by Masterfoods. I like Dolmio sauces now and again but have tried to branch away from the usual, and in my opinion, boring tomato sauce and pasta option so when I saw the Dolmio Roasted Mediterranean vegetables Pasta Bar jar in my local Sainsburys I decided to give it a go. It was only £1.49 a jar so quick an inexpensive dinner in my opinion. The taste and flavours itself sounded really lovely and different. Apparently according to the jar one serving equals 1/5 of your daily intake of fruit and vegetables recommended by nutritionists. I'm a great believer in doing things easily if I can and it's only occasionally that I actually have loads of time to prepare a meal from scratch although I do love proper cooking when I get the chance. I also find that it works out much cheaper to uses sauces like these rather than buying all the separate ingredients too and as we're a family very much on a budget then this has to take priority when shopping is done.
